Answer:
If you have no sponsor, it will be impossible.Check with the local American embassy, where you live...
Move there.
redden the neck!
Go to Mexico. Walk across the border. Do it soon, you'll get amnesty, and be a citizen!
all you have to be able to do is get here, swim, run, float over on something, that's about it.
Hi. Unless you have an immediate family member or employer in the US who is willing to sponsor you, the only way you can come here is as a tourist for 3-month intervals. You cannot work here on a tourist visa. Check out www.uscis.gov
eat loads of big macs.
Go to uscis.gov for the options. It depends on your circumstances and citizenship (UK mostly is not in the diversity lottery, for example, but if you are from a different country, that may be in it.)
If you're not an asylum-seeker, I believe you have to have a special skill that is in short supply there (particularly clinical staff) or you have to marry someone who has status in the USA (obviously not an option for you).
If you dont have any close family in america, or want to marry an american (Obsv not!) then there are loads of different visas you try (me & my husband are looking into at the moment too.) If you have a special work skill you can get a H1B visa. Or you can get an investment visa (E2 visa) where you have to buy a business or create a business that employs 10+ americans. Or there is a EB5 visa where you can invest at least $500,000 into a specific business. There is a lottery you can enter but poeple born in the UK cannot enter it unless thier native country (country whre both parents were born) is outside of the UK. I know a french women who got a visa this way. You need to be aware though that with all the visas apart from the EB5 visa, you have to renew them and could get it rejected at any time. Also, if you have kids, they will not be covered by your visa when they hit 21 and will have to get their own. The EB5 is the best way if you can afford to do it. After you have gone through the procedure, you invest your money, then you get a conditional green card. This means you can live, work or retire in the usa for 2 years. After these 2 years, if you still have the investment and the investment is still creating 10+ jobs then you have the conditions removed and receive an unconditional green card (permanent residency). You can then apply for american citizenship after 5 yrs but you dont have to because you & your spouse and children under 21 can live in the USA on your unconditional green card for the rest of your lives. Bare in mind however.that you will only be able to get this type of visa until Sept 08 unless the government renew the policy. there are lots more rules and regulations surrounding all these but try : www.andrewbartlettflorida.co.u... who I found really useful. Also, www.us-immigration.com & www.Usagc.org

Good luck!
