My friend wishes to move from USA to AUS, I am confused about Visas.?
Answer:
For one you can sponser her/them. The home would be considered an investment. There are however many requirements and stipulations OZ has. Age limit for one, $100,000 dollars for Government to hold for a year or so to prove one isn't there to live of government handouts. Does she know these things?

She can also do so by investing in a business, opening a business, or buying a holiday home. Of course she'd have to go through the Foreign Investment Review Board in
Sydney about the process - Phone number 026263.3795. She might try contacting this number using the World Timezones Map for a better idea on the timezone differences.
let her do that ok go with her
I looked into the same thing...
She can get a temporary visa, but it will only be good for 6 months I believe.
She has to be sponsored by a business in Australia, and she has to show why she was picked over an Australian for the job. So if she can't/won't work, she won't be able to get a perm visa.
She could marry an australian, which would give her the right to stay there, however.
It's a confusing subject, and I wish I knew a workaround, as Cairnes looks absolutely beautiful to me and I'd love to move there myself!
