Why don't we pass a law that anyone with kids can do what ever they want and not have to serve time, because we don't want to seperate the kids them from their crimminal parents.

I dont think any judge in the right mind who is not corrupt, whether conservative or liberal would be more lenient simply because a criminal also happens to be a parent.

By the way, a few weeks ago I lost one of the best students I've ever taught. He was intelligent, bright, hard working, and dedicated. His crime: He was a child of an illegal alien, so he was deported. His parents worked here for 18 years, owned a business, and paid taxes. Still, I feel his parents should have played by the rules and entered the country LEGALLY!

There is leniency for parents but it isn't worth much. When the Parents choose to have a kid here they have a choice. TO move back home woth the kid or to leave them here. THe parents knew the risk when they had them. It's not our fault they don't care. I have a friend who I believe is in that situation. Its sad, but If we don't draw a line somewhere the whole system falls apart.
