Do Hispanic immigrants add "spice" to the US?

According to this article they do; but the interesting thing is that the article never says how.

And please, no "you're a racist" comments please...I'm trying to point out how the media tries to brainwash us in our ways of thinking about illegal immigration.

Answer:
They are influencing American Citizens by their illegal acts to the point where they are inciting hatred. If "spice" means that they are causing dissention and problems and are fueling the fires of hatred, then yes, I suppose they are. They are the racists and they are the ones that demand to be separate and distinct without assimilation and while demanding that we accept their demands and separatism without comment. I no longer eat Mexican Food and I don't buy anything made in Mexico or made by Mexicans anywhere in the world. I came upon this opinion and these actions when I realized that the 1986 Amnesty laws were a complete failure and that our government has committed treason against the U.S. Citizens and law-abiding immigrants by failure to enforce our immigration laws as evidenced by the increase from 3 million illegals in 1986 to 12-20 million illegals in 2006. Also, 9/11/01 caused me to look twice at any foreigner and to analyze their actions carefully. We watch them now and report, report report! Spice? Not any spice I want or need. I am eliminating all contact with that kind of "spice", economic, social, edible, or manufactured and we are voting all these traitors out of office. I used to like Latin Dance. I refuse to listen to latin music, won't dance any kind of Latin Dance and won't associate with any business that accommodates them. I don't support lawbreakers and traitors. We don't visit sanctuary cities and refuse to buy goods and services manufactured in them.
Now Puerto Rican, brazillian, and dominican women...Hells yeah they do. You can't tell me they don't.
more like crap to the pot
It's just a metaphor.

It is a little disegenuous to reference the 'melting pot,' though, when the melting pot model has been supplanted by mutli-culturalism.
Of course they do..Just like any other culture, like Asians, Middle Easterns, Europeans etc..We are a relatively new country, we need all the culture we can muster..Since when is culture a determent?

I assume you are talking about culture? Lets see, they have brought a variety of food, music, art, even architecture.Sports, not so much, soccer isn't nearly as popular here as it is in Latin America and Europe. The way we talk, of course?.We are surrounded by Latin Spanish speaking countries.

Do you see Hispanics as bringing NOTHING good, but all bad? I choose to see the world differently.I want to know my world, and NOT just the US.There's a big world out there! If people had a better understanding of cultures, we would so much better off.But for that you must have an open mind.
They cook yummy spicy food. Men are hot, like Oscar De La Hoya, spicy hot!
Yes, we do the majority of us are happy people. We have less of a prejudice mind and we basically can get along with anybody as long as they are friendly to us. grddoviz: How can we be racist if the Latinos we have all kinds of people, we have people from European decent you go to south America, Uruguay, and Paraguay Argentina and Cuba the majority of them are Italians, or from Britain and the only Language they speak is Spanish, Meanwhile you go to Peru people there are Mongoloids (they look Chinese) mostly are Asian decent (only language they speak is Spanish too) Then you go to the Caribbean Puerto Rico, Dominica Republic people there have both European and African decent. Then you go to Mexico and Central America People there have both a mixture of Indians and Europeans ( and they only speak Spanish too.) Therefore Hispanics we are less Prejudice people because our ethnic background includes all the races of the world.
What happens when the spices become the main ingredient, it spoils the whole dish.
Come off it, if it looks like a duck, it's a duck. You are what you are. You wouldn't be busy looking up articles on Hispanic immigrants if you weren't a hater!
Hispanic women are hot...I know my Colombiana brings spice to my life...=)
I'd say they are influencing popular music right now because you have more Latino artists cross over to mainstream and record in English and possibly a first, an English speaking artist, Beyonce recorded one of her hits "irreplaceable" in Spanish. Reggaeton is a new genre that has wide appeal among English speaking kids.

I think that reggaeton is so popular because of it's mixture of Afro-caribbean and rap, with a Latin flair, sooooooo, there's your spice.

Edit: Mojada, Latinos less prejudiced? That is garbage and you know it. Latinos are just as racist as everyone else, if not more. I know that from plenty of personal experience.

Edit again: reggaeton is gone already? I must be getting old.
yes. we know how to party n make good food
My latina fiance added a lot of spice into my life last night. There is nothing better than a hot latina.
The legal 1s yes the criminal illegal aliens that have snuck into this great country demanding rights that they are not entitled 2 are making it hard for the legal 1s to be excepted. Just my thought.
My parents came to the states LEGALLY in the 60's, then had me in the 70's in the states. I am a product of immigrants. I believe I do add spice and so do my Latino people. I am and educated Latina that pays taxes and votes. The media never really sheds any positive light on progressive Latino people who are US citizens and are educated and that is a shame. The media only stereotypes Latino people as illegal, poor and uneducated. It's a shame.
Pathetic, Patheitc. We do add spice to this country darling.
HOT & SPICY LATINAS. OH MAMACITA!!
Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
yes just like Blacks add cajun spice! sugar & spice & everything nice!!!
