How many of you who are for illegals pay taxes?

Answer:
Even though your question is hard to understand - star for you!

Illegals can't pay taxes because they don't have a SS#. They may pay property taxes through their rent and sales tax but based on their low income that means squat!

If they started paying income taxes and filing a return, due to their low income they would probably qualify for tax credits (AKA free money from the taxpayer).

Anybody that claims that illegal aliens pay taxes, and covers their services, is a liar. Each family costs an estimated $22,400 every year to take care of their services. They cost the US over $50 BILLION each year. CA alone is over $9 BILLION!

BTW, people can't reasonably claim that the illegal aliens have done nothing wrong so they should be granted amnesty. That's a load of BS! They broke the law as soon as that first toe crossed the border. THEY ARE CRIMINALS FOR BEING HERE!
Illegals pay taxes and they're for illegals.
if they were illegal they can't pay taxes. if they are legal they can. i'm for legal immigration.
I dont think anyone here is "for illegals" or for "open borders."
Try asking a less biased question.
And what the purpose of the question is.

I think most people would want to properly secure the borders, while allowing those who are already here (and have no criminal record) a chance to attain citizenship. Simply by not committing crimes and contributing to society, they should be granted amnesty. That way they can more fully pay income taxes, and if necessary be able to use social services that they contribute to but cannot use.
A lot of taxes and I don't even send my boy to public schools either. I agree with the terminology of the user above me for amnesty of the ones already here and better control of the border.
using whose social security number, einstien

by the way...the act of using a fraudulent social security number is a felony...illegals are criminals from the get-go...and as they prolong their stay. they only get in deeper and add to our misery
Oh mama. the misinformation...You don't need a social security number to pay taxes. You can do so with an ITIN number assigned by the IRS. The IRS is happy to receive taxes without inquiring into status.
Watch it, they will say, we pay taxes---- sales tax.
as long as they are legal they can pay taxes all they want. and i to have seen it. they only pay sales tax. wonderful question
I'm really not sure how to answer your question or what your question really is. I am an American born 50 years ago. I am of Irish-Scotch ancestory. I hope that my ancestors were legal...who knows...when people see a better life for their family and themselves they take many risks. I am not crazy about so many undocumented workers but PLEASE put the blame where it belongs. Our government and the business owners are the ones to blame, not the illegals. If the businesses said "No" and the government checked these peoples' status then the illegals would go away.

I have friends who are in the US legally and are trying to get green cards. They are gainfully employed, pay taxes and in every way are just like you and me except that they cannot vote. The expense and paperwork involved in getting a green card is almost dibilitating. I ask, why is that? We are so interested in why we have illegals, why don't we spend some time wondering why it is so hard to legally live in this country. AND, before you throw a fit about keeping "foreigners" out remember that WE are the "foreigners" too. Unless you are native american you too are from another country.
i'm illegal, i has been here for 2 years and i paid taxes both years with my ITIN IRS number because i don't have SSN.
One more thing, i paid 3700 dls in taxes in 2006 and 5600 dls in 2007 and i never ask for free services, government help, food stamps, health care, nothing, i haven't rights to get help, the last month i had an accident and now i'm living with my savings because i'm illegal=criminal and i cant' get help from anybody.
I would like to know someone that tells me that since they were born they never broken any law.

Even Clinton said one time he smoked pot in his youth !! so what da heck !!
Of course illegals pay taxes to the federal govt/IRS.Its called a ITIN...

IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who do not have, and are not eligible to obtain a Social Security Number (SSN) from the Social Security Administration (SSA).

ITINs are issued regardless of immigration status because both resident and nonresident aliens may have U.S. tax return and payment responsibilities under the Internal Revenue Code. Get your facts straight..!
they do, how many i do not know
Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
