Moving to australia?
My parents are making my life impossible in England after being here for 9 months and I would like to move back to Australia. Will i be let through immigration? Can my parents stop me from moving?
All help needed :)
Answer:
At 16, you may still be considered a minor and may need parental consent to get on a plane to Australia. Call up an airline like British Airways and ask what their policy is about minors. If 16 is old enough, you should be all set to go provided you've got a passport. If you're planning on working in Oz, make sure you have all the proper documents that make you legal. In America, its a social security card and a driver's license. And make sure you have enough money to get by until you can find a job, maybe around $1000 AU. Think it through before you make a decision. Good luck!
just go.
good ridance
i will come with you have you got room in your suitcase for me
18 is legally an adult in Australia. Sorry but you're 2 years too young. If you're a citizen they can't stop you entering the country and staying but you might receive a call from DoCS (Department of Community Services) if you don't have anyone to stay with or take care of you. You'd probably have to be an emancipated minor.
I dont know! why don t you move to America, its fun here
No, normally you must be an adult, IE over 18 years of age when you lodge your visa application.
It MAY be possible if you have parental permission AND relatives willing to sign onerous financial sponsorship guarantees to the Australian Government. However, there would need to be extremely good reasons and the fact that you were not getting on with your parents isn't good enough
As one Aussie to another, the best advice I can give you is stop being so dumb! At 16 your life experience is to small to go it alone without your parents! I have counselled many young people over the years after they have got into real trouble - jail, prostitution, drugs - because they cannot support themselves on the low income a 16 year earns. Most people you meet are actually nice and want to help others and your parents have even more reason than most to want to help you. Your parents DO love you and want the best for you.
If they are pissing you off severely look in the mirror and you will see the cause of most of your troubles. Pull your head out of your ****, stop the self pity, and get on with it! Work, study and move your life forward. Do it for yourself because no one else can. Wait two or three years and I guarantee you will thank me for this advice.
