My husban is a usa citizen, i am uk citizen, we are moving from the uk to usa, can i apply for my visa from us

I want to know if I can enter the usa for 6 months as a visitor and then apply for my green card once I am in the USA. Is this possible, and are there any forums or helpful websites about this kind of issue, I am a bit lost the official website is confusing!! thank you!

Yes it is possible for you to apply once in the us, but, first your husband will need to file an I-130 for you which is a petition for alien relative you to change your status, followed by I-484. Go to www.uscis.gov click on the "Permanent Resident-Green Card" link, then scroll down and find the link that says "Immigration through a family member". All the info you need is right there. Good Luck! Although the process is tedious it does not take long.

I am British and my husband is from Texas. Firstly the longest you can stay on a visitors visa is 90 days (3 months) It is best to get the paperwork for your visa sorted from the UK. It is a very confusing business and my husband and I gave up trying to get me in the US. He is more than happy to live here, in fact he loves it and it was much easier to get him here rather than me there.
