I am a US citizen and am wanting to send for a sister in law that is in Colombia. My wife is on a 2 year visa applying for a permanent visa early next year. Would this be a long drawn out process or is it easier than many think?

you should be able to sponsor your sister. go to the immigration site and there is a specific form for you to fill out. it's specific to sponsoring someone. since you are a citizen it will go a little easier.
Don't pay attention to the ones who lost on the immigration bill. They have their feelings, and pride hurt.
