If the immigration bill pass ,do you think the price of fruit and vegetable with go sky high?
Answer:
there is less chance of the immigration bill to be passed.
but if it does happens there will be rise in price for food stuff except staple foods
It does not matter, if it does.
They already are. That's why I grow my own. And guess what? I pick them too.
Oddly enough, that may be true temporarily, but long term we (the U.S.) will just imports from Mexico, South & Central America. It will hurt the American economy and boost the others.
NOT ALL MEXICANS A TOMATO PICKERS! HEHEHE!
Nope, no retailer will want that rotting stuff on the display. I do see EXEC's bonuses going in the toilet.
you mean higher than it already is..no ... not really but I think you will have to start doing your own yard work.. just a joke ...and not a racist one either just trying to have some fun. from a mexican/american.women.w... Loves MEXICO and AMERICA. I love to be able to visit mexico when I want to visit ....DOnt you...
You bet. All the illegals turned legal will be on welfare.
yes. people need to realize the more people their is to feed, is going to make a bigger demand on supply to live. so there for prices will go up. more people make a bigger demand. it's just like the aztec, they was so big at one time their greed and needs destroyed them. if people are going to come to this country they need to do it legally. have 2 to 4 kids, IF they can afford that many. after they have their kids, have their tubes tied or use another form of birth control. illegals have a big family thinking their kids will take care of them when they are old. they need to think of the population growth before having kids.
Perhaps. Just one of many problems we will have to deal with.
.
Not only fruit and vegetables. The prices of many items will go sky high and the economy of many american companies will go to the trashcan. It may sound ridiculous, but the illegal immigrant is EXTREMELY important for the american economy.
Nope. They will rise about 10%. That is a scare tactic used to divert peoples attention from the real issue which is this massive illegal invasion of people with limited skills.
It is estimated that the price of a head of lettuce would go up 10 cents if not picked by illegals. You can use the lettuce as a measure for the rest of the produce they pick.
So no it won't go sky high and most educated legal citizens would gladly pay extra to buy American.
the answer for the immigration bill...that answer rely on congress because remember the congress is only interested in the Mexican but in real life they are more European ilegal in this country than Latin American.
Do I think the price of the fruit and vegetables will go sky high. maybe because the only race that will do this job no matter the color of the skin is Latin American...
Prices will adjust slightly, it is a scare tactic on a very hot issue. The demand for low skilled, uneducated workers will not continue to rise in the future, not with free trade. The low skilled jobs and products that can't be outsourced like vegetable pickers, restaurant dish boys etc.. are not increasing very rapidly. The 1990's shortage of low skilled workers has been met by the millions of illegal immigrants that have crossed the border since 2000. Economically the need is for engineers, mathematicians and scientists and the countries those workers generally come from are far away (India, China etc.) that is the need for the next decade. Unless there is a major shift in our country and our Universities start producing millions more of these specialized graduates, we will need immigrants with those skills, or our Economy will suffer.
