Have you Noticed your Passport ?
Could be because we are Americans , first and if we chose to
not belong , its by choice. I,m American are you ?
Answer:
Yep, my nationality listed as United States of America.
Just checked mine. Yep American.
Yes, I am! I am not "German-American" I am plain old AMERICAN!
I am English - British and proud of it.
Amen.
Even though I was born overseas, as was my father and all those on my mothers side, we all are/were Americans.
It was the concept that America was a great melting pot of race/creed/color.
Too bad some folks are so insecure that they need to hyphenate their nationality (i.e., "German-American", "African-American", "Chinese-American", Mexican-American").
You either are or you are not American.
Period.
Yes, it says American. That does not mean that your identity from before the passport is wipped out. A passport is a paper document and implies certain legal issues. Not much else.
yes. i don't know what your point is though. Americans are "mutts" and should only be known as Americans. any group putting another country name before American,is not a real American, end the hyphenated Americans.
There is no such thing as a hyphenated (fill in the ethnic group) American.
People that do that are trying to divide us Americans rather than unite us.
