I think most of the country is confused on this subject..
I don't care and I don't worry just keep on living life, anyways what can we do we're not the president.
If you're going to come here to live, you should have the potential to be a productive member of society. That means talent and paying your taxes. It's only fair. If you're going to come here and be a bum, then stay out. Also, if you're going to break the law to get here, stay out.

I really don't know ,how legal and illegal confuse you.
Ok first off, people who come into this country for SPORTS, or educational purposes, or just to live and work here, the immigrants that are WELCOME into our country are the ones WITH PROPER DOCUMENTATION or SPONSORS from our own country (such as in the case of sports figures) or even other family members who will sponsor another from a foreign country to come here... THESE people are deemed LEGAL ALIENS---able to be here... Those that we do NOT want in this country are those who SNEAK across the borders and SNEAK into our cities and live here basically MOOCHING off the resorces of the USA. It doesn't much matter if you are TALENTED or not... what matters is WHO is willing to SPONSOR you or WHO has the proper legal documentation to enter the USA... Hope this straightens out your confusion.
Your question sounds like you were confused long before you asked it. I'm not hearing anyone wanting to stop LEGAL immigration, except maybe those individuals who may be linked, to one degree or another, to terrorist interests. We want to stop immigration by those people who choose to break our laws as their first act as potential Americans. If the first thing you do in this country is break the law, you don't sound very promising, and if that's what you call "talented" immigrants, well, you're missing the boat entirely. God Bless you.
It's not that they don't want foreigners, it's that they don't want the ones that enter the country illegally. There is a process to follow and some people (actually a lot) don't feel the need to respect the rules. Those are the people they want gone.
