Why are so many US Americans against people immigrating?
& I bet more than half the people against it are from a different country anyways. Unless you're Native American then I can see why. But really, what are the reasons people don't like immigration?
Answer:
Every white person in this country is an Illegal Immigrant.
All this BS is about race- its not about laws.
White people have found a new way to manipulate the other people in this country into believing that the US is a white country.
All people ever talk about is the Mexicans-
I know so many illegal immigrants from Canada the United Kingdom and Ireland and Albania etc.
The reason they don't even mention those illegals is because
they are white-
You only have to glance at the attitudes against Mexicans
to realize that this is about race.
When I see all those white illegals being rounded up and shipped back or Hell when we even talk about them- maybe I'll think otherwise but the white people in this country don't want to focus anything on them- cause this is really just about the brown people. White people fear colored people
They always have- history shows us that-
and they are afraid that Mexicans will tip the scales on them
That frightens them -
I just wish anyone who had a problem with colored people would all go back to Europe.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with LEGAL immigration. It's the ILLEGALS that we are so set against.
Because people are snobbish and conveniently forget that we all come from other places, regardless of how long ago it was.
On the other hand America is not the only country who has tough immigration laws and still have problems with large influx of illegal immigrants. The UK is the same.
America's illegals while many are hard working, mostly work "cash in hand" so they don't pay taxes or have medical insurance and this puts a strain on our already tight school and health care system, etc.
It's not immigration that's the problem, it's illegal immigration.
Legal = good! The more, the better for us all.
Illegal = bad!
Illegals GO HOME. Build the wall!

No, I don't think there's anything selfish about requiring that people respect your laws (including immigration laws), assimilate to your country's cultural identity, pay taxes, strive to uphold the laws of that country and participate in that country. Seriously, take a look at the link below, and perhaps you'll see why illegal immigration takes from our country, and gives little in return. I think *that* is selfish.
Because an overload of illegal immigrants would destroy our economy, shoot our crime rates through the roof and make us into a 3rd world country.
JUST ILLEGAL immigration.
People are against illegal immigrants - there are a few Americans motivated against immigrants based on racism - but they are in the minority (extreme minority). Its these people who migrate to our country breaking our laws that is the problem. They are being criminals.
Good Luck!
When are people like you going to get the question right.. Americans are not against immigration, they are against ILLEGAL immigration. Learn it, know it, live it.
It is not immigration we are against it is ILLEGAL immigration that we are against the difference being that if someone sneaks in to this country send them back or worse but if they come here with the proper papers and want to assimalate to the American culture and people and follow our laws then fine otherwise HELL NO!
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...
I personally don't know anyone, including my self, who is against immigration. If it wasn't for immigration neither my husband nor I would be here. I don't think it legal immigration that you see people against...I think what you see are the people against illegal immigration, which I am fine with as well, as long as they have intentions to do their part to keep our country running. I can see why people do it though, I know two people who are married/engaged to people in other countries and both are running on two years to bring their significant others to this country. They have completed all the paperwork for their respective countries (Uruguay and China) but it's the US paperwork holding them up.
We are not agianst immigration, were agianst ILLEGAL immigration. There's a difference.
1. we have enough of our own problems
2. they bring crime (identity theft is becoming a huge problem, they are responsible for a large percentage of it), drugs etc. and lower security because with the vast numbers they come in it makes it more difficult to monitor who is coming and leaving the country
3. many cant speak english and have little or no education
4. they are mostly poor and will be on welfare and medicaid which costs tax payers billions each year. youre putting more drains on government funding, and the people are paying little to nothing in which reduces benefits of the goverment for americans that are actually paying in and here legally. think about it, 20 million illegal immigrants- about 300 million legal americans, which means every 15 people here are supporting an illegal immigrant. every family of 5 has an extra 1/3 of a member for which they are paying into welfare, education, healthcare, etc.
5. do you have large amounts of illegal immigrants in your community? they tend to trash everything and move on, theyre like locusts
many of these would be solved by legal immigration- it would help bring quality people in and keep the poor quality people out. it might be selfish, but theyre pretty much inviting themselves in. can i invite myself into your house and stay for about 20 years, eat your food and use your money for healthcare, education, etc and give you nothing in return? would that be selfish of me, or selfish of you for not letting me in? would you want to put some restrictions on me before i came to make sure im a worthy guest?
Americans love immigrants. But you have to enter this country legally to be respected.
Sneaking over the border in the middle of the night is what we are against. Come to the USA through the normal legal channels and you will be welcomed.
The mis-conception that we hate immigrants is completely false. We just hate lawbreaking illegal immigrants.
Look. We are not against immigration, if it is done "legally". Don't just run in here with your hand out, wanting the US to pay for your education, health care, housing and transportation. Go through the proper channels, learn English and be somebody.
The problem is that they are here illegally and getting benefits that actual Americans have trouble getting. Their kids are clogging up the school system. These people don't pay taxes and get free medical help when they need it.
There are immigrants attempting to come here legally and we are taking five or six years to let this people enter our country the right way. Now we want to just automatically allow all these people that broke the law and snuck into our country to now stay legally.
It's wrong.
Having between 12 and 20 million illegals here already, and wanting to limit more from coming does not meet the criteria for selfish.
Do you really live in the US or are you another of the pretenders on here?
See, for myself, my problem isn't with people immigrating, it's with them doing it illegaly. Sneaking under border lines and hiding in trucks or coming in a row boat from Jamaica. My stepfather is a scottish national. He went to the american embassy in London, England and went through the legal process to be able to get his green card and eventually his citizenship. It's the people who think they can BYPASS the system that piss me off.
I think we really need to know who is here and who is not. Illegal immigration means many people using our services who should not be recieving the assistance. The services our tax money pays for is for citizens and legal people who are here to work not for those who sneek in. I have no problem with immigrants and want to keep immigration so that people who desire a better life can come and do their best to get a good life but not for those who come here the wrong way and use up the services meant for others.
im sure most people looking at this are not gong to agree with me but, most americans will welcome every educated and moderatly wealthy person into america no matter how they get in. what people dont like is seeing a new set of people who come over and are different, they speak a different language, and they are poor. they take the illegal route to get into america becouse the legal one is expensive, so expensive that a poor person from another country could NEVER afford it so they must take the illegal way to get into the country.
America has a history of not wanting immigrints in and have always fought it, first the Irish were hated (see gangs of new york, i didnt like the movie but it did accurately show a sample of the hatred for Irish) then it was the orinetal in the west coast that were the target of anti-immigration reforms, even during WW2 we didnt let Jews into america who were leaving germany becouse of strict immigration laws and an anti jewish sentiment in america at the time (a friend of mine's family had to go to cuba for 20 years just to get out of germany before they could go to the USA since the US would not let them in) now it is Hispanics that are the target, notice how all the talk is about building a fence and dealign with mexico, no one cares if the immigrint is european, and if they do i have not heard about it at all. it is the history of the USA to fight against these changes. if America didnt put a price tag on being a citizen then maybe that would help.
My dad is a White raciest and my mother mexican/american.. believe it or not. and I have some very strong feeling's about the issue.. I believe and can understand on the american side why they don't want illegals coming into american without proper pager work...1. They usally work with false documentation and still apply for welfare which is so wrong...2. come to this country and some commit crimes and jump back and fourth over the border, Okay and now from the the hispanic part of me for the most part.. alot of them/us are just hard working people who will not complain about the trype of work... or how much... they just do it and work there butts off and send the money back to there home town to help support all of the little sibblings they might have. and why was it so easy for us americans to visit any other state or country in the world.. and exspect to feel greeted if we not all.. and surely not me ... do not allow other cultures into our country.with open arms .. If america was like mexico or africa... or any other poor , crime on crime . place (which thank GOD it is not) then I would be an illegal running somewhere else also to support my family.wouldnt you,,,,,, treat those the way you would have them Treat you ..is that not what it says in the bible?
p/s allow passports to all or rush into the states ...without warning and just start finger printing every illegal so that way if they do commit any kind of crime. they can then be tried in a court of law with proof.and not just deported where they can pay of some of the police...to go free ( in there country) or when they are sent over the border they are immediately let go , and usally just come back over ...
There is no valid reason for anyone to be an illegal immigrant. There are several work permits you can apply for that cover the almost everyone. You can even get a work permit for temporary seasonal work like picking fruit.
The own reason someone would be an illegal is selfishness, they refuse to fill in the paperwork and follow the system. This then causes a problem as they pay no taxes yet get the benefits of paying taxes.
Being an illegal immigrant is an illegal act and means that the person is breaking the law every minute they are still in the country, would you let of burglars as they aren't as rich as the people they are robbing?
Remember not all illegal immigrants are Hispanic and you are more likely to find European illegals in New york.
Illegal alien
Legal immigration
There is a vast difference.
Legal immigration is a wonderful thing. People who come here to not only get ahead in life, but revel in our freedoms, love our country as we do.
Illegal aliens are well..illegal, maybe they come for money, maybe they come to avoid prosecution for their crimes at home, maybe, maybe, maybe lots of maybes, but if they reveled in our country and loved our freedoms, they wouldn't be burning our flags and screaming they are taking over and there's not a damn thing we can do about it.
Not all do that, but those are the ones who are blackening the image of all illegal aliens, yet I've not seen a single person say I'm illegal and I despise those people.
Pro-immigration.
Anti-illegal alien and dang proud of it.
Please don't scream racist. I'm half Native American..Choctaw in fact. And my "native" half and "Scottish" half are in full agreement on this issue.
There are several categories of sentiment on illegal immigration (in my view).
1. Business.... Company's need cheap labor to produce and earn. So they hire illegals for this purpose. They need immigrants b/c not all Americans are willing to work at the rate they are paying, and legal immigrants are just like Americans, they won't take a job that is not paying what the market says it should be.
2. Then you have Americans that feel threatened by the loss of jobs, because their skills are affected by the loss of jobs to immigrants.
3. You have Americans that see illegals as a burden on their Cities, Counties and States.
4. Then you have my group, which see's the benefit of these illegals, but who believe they should have the opportunity to have a type of legal status, either residency, guest worker program. If they are legal, they will be paying taxes. So if you have 12 million illegals that become legal, think of the revenue that would bring. It would help States,Counties and Cities that say immigrants are a burden to their welfare & health systems.
We're not selfish. It's called ILLEGAL immigration for a reason! They don't pay taxes! - If they come with children, their children get a HS education for FREE. Not to mention, because they need special ESL( english ) teachers, that is an extra burden on taxpayers.
A country is not supposed to be a refugee camp.
So you're peddling the "if you're not an indian you're an immigrant" canard and you think sovereignty and borders are selfish. Grow up.
We are against illegal immigration, not against legal immigration!
Being against illegal immigration is selfish? No, it is helping PROTECT America!!!
Illegals are the ones that are selfish. They don't obey American laws, don't try to become citizens, don't learn the language, steal jobs, hurt the US economy, and cause countless of other problems in the US!
To put it simply the countries infrastructure can not handle the number of immigrants. That being said there is a clear need for a better immigration process when dealing with Mexico. However I believe that there is a responsibility by the Mexican people to put pressure on there government to improve relations and the process of immigration. If the Mexican government were to send a delegation to the united States to find out what would improve the legalization of immigrants then we could probably get More in here legally.
The Mexican Government could start immigration American placement classes in there country giving young people a chance to learn and prepare for immigration into the United States like learning English, passport applications, and background checks. There education could also focus on certain trades that are in high demand so that they have something to offer to society. However so far they have offered nothing but complaints. There is a lot more than just immigrants to deal with, such as a rogue government in Mexico that has allowed drug cartels to control whole cites and police departments and from this has sprouted some of the worlds largest gangs that come to America. There no way to justify immigrants coming here illegally.
