How does it take to get a labor certificate?

How does it take to get a labor certificate? And does it take anyone more than 12 months to get it?

Answer:
Labor certification is handled few different ways. It can take anywhere from 3 months to 3 years.

It is dependent upon position (level), minimum education and professional experience requirements, recruitment efforts required, geographical area of job (location), etc.
I was looking for the same information.

All that I've found so far is: there are two "kinds" of Labor Certification, the permanent and the foreign one.
I read that it takes sometimes more than one year to get it. Actually it takes around 3 years most of the cases.

Your sponsor should demonstrate that there is nobody else (american citizen) that can do the job you will supposed to do, that you have the skills and the knowledge to do it.
