You should write about how important immigration is to this nation since it was built on it and probably would be part of the UK if it werent for people from different nations taking an interest developing a passion and helping this nation prosper,you also should do research for a paper that you are writing it will only help the cause.
DO some research then form your own opinion.
People should be free to move where they please, that is my strong opinion.
americans pay taxes to the gov.
the gov performs services to the taxpayers.
illegals take jobs from americans, send the money back to mexico, then burden the system because they -dont speak english, have no health care, and then demand rights.

Well it depends... you should probably break it up and do it on either immigration or illegal immigration...

Immigration is fine.Many of our fathers and grandfathers were immigrants.The key to this is that they were LEGAL!The ILLEGALS are rhe ones that I have a major problem with.They broke our laws in order to be here,and on top of that they are expecting handouts and preferential treatment.Put in your paper what you think would happen if a U.S. citizen went to Mexico and tried to demand the same courtesies!Be ready for a huge discussion!!

I know you were just trying to be politically correct and not call it Illegal immigration. It is Illegal Immigration the citizens of the USA are tired of. Legal Immigration is as American as Apple pie and almost everyone supports Legal Immigration

legal or illegal? a good opinion to have about illegals is to shoot them on site, but the legal immigrants are just fine.
Justme-why don't you do research and form your own opinion. Don't let someone influence you and tell you how to think-especially these people that post on here (inc. myself). as john lennon said, no religion, no countries, no racism.... who gives you the right to stop people from going wherever they please? what would have happened if native americans would have thrown spears to kill the europeans coming along unwelcomed? its so funny to hear people talk about illegal immigrants... I just laugh so hard on how uneducated they are.. do your research in how europeans came and they killed native americans... and what would happen if mexicans or latin americans were to do the same killings coming to the US...
Im an american, and a quick response to whoever put a lot of links about mexicans and latin americans... all those links together dont even match how many countries we as americans let our government invade and do whatever they please there...
we can not say that illegal immigrants are good and bad whenever we feel like it.. bush's government gives free residence cards to illegal immigrants to them and their families when they join the military... american companies pay them and gives them homes so that they can work for less money... in other words, we cannot use and kill illegal immigrants as we please..
a lot of illegal immigrants come and work their asses off more than you would work your whole life...and it is not even for them what they earn, they send it back to their families so that they can eat and get educated... these people have two full time jobs in order to live as you take for granted your life, just because your illegal immigrant ancestors came many many many years ago..
I feel stongly that we need some new steps in reforming our immigration system. Just to let you know one thing that may help in your research, although there are a lot of people on here that say illegals don't pay their taxes, many do. They have a TIN or a taxpayer identification number. There are also many who don't file taxes but have had taxes and social security withheld and will never get it back. So maybe addressing these few issues will bring new studies to your paper as well.
