Oh can anyone be kind enough to tell me how those minutemen boys and gals spend all their time out doing nothing.are they on welfare by any chance?

Americans will not work in the fields "Period", Agriculture is already subsidized, its call price support, AGRICULTURE is paid not to grow crops ,so as not to flood the market and lower the price for their product to the consumer," Welfare to the rich". I believe they should change the law to price support subsidy, Let them grow all the crops they can, if the price falls the goverment grants a farmer a subsidy of the loss they suffered, we get lower cost in food products its a win-win situation. I think there is a big difference in a family farm and Agra-Corporation , a family farm/farmers work for themselves and it is a fact that a person works harder in their own fields, and reap the complete profits of their labor. Agr corp. pays low wages for hard work to their employees with few or no benefits.
How much did you get paid? Did you have to bend over all day using a short hoe? Some Cowboying is very hard work but it still dose not compare to working in the fields. I do not mean to be disrepectful, just stating my opinions.

Well, if we cut back on the welfare that goes out to able bodied people, then they would be happy to do the jobs the illegals have now.
The illegals weren't staying in agriculture now that they had such free access through lack of enforcement to construction and other trades. That is why agribusiness wanted their indentured servitude program. It was they only way they saw to KEEP workers once they got their feet on the ground.
I think Agriculture should be subsidized to pay a living wage then their workers wouldn't be dependant on public benefits and the legal workers would be able to afford to take the jobs. We DO have legal immigrants, remember?
Many Americans would take these jobs. Not only that, but many of these people do not speak English and so companies that hire them illegally have to hire people that speak their language. So it effects not only the people working in the fields but also people who answer the phone, hire them, do payroll and so forth. If they want to keep their jobs, these illegal aliens need to go through the legal process to become Americans and learn English.

OH please do you really think only you will pick the not ripe crops to send to the market. The corporate farms have about ruined the family farm. SO no I won't work for a corporate farm. I will work on my parents farm and have for as long as I have been alive BTW he is 85 and she is 82. Their kids 52,56,58, and 60 work on that farm along with the the grand kids and now the great grandkids work during harvest and planting time. The last time I checked my parents did not have air conditioned fields.
I will and have. I work in 100 degreeplus heat everyday 6-7 days a week on a ranch on the border I am white 40 years old
I know lots of American construction workers that would love their jobs back working in the heat. I also wonder,what exactly is it the illegals are picking because my produce isn't from America. Could it be American pockets?
