Wrong again ! he is Sheriff of Maricopa county, where the capital of Phoenix is located, His fame comes from not allowing prisoners to smoke, watch TV,eat cold cut sandwiches for meals,housing them in tents in the Arizona heat.etc. He has nothing to do with guarding the borders, Pima Co., Santa Cruz Co., Cochise Co., and Yuma Co., are the ones that sit on the Mexican Border.

No he isn't. Joe Arpaio is a bloated, overrated, publicity seeking egotist. HOW long has Arizona been flooded with illegals and WHEN did he jump on the band wagon?? His efforts are strictly designed to gain as much attention as his inflated ego can generate and when the media attention wanes so will his so called program. He does not guard the border, and as badly as he treats prisoners his rate of recidivism is no better than any other Sheriff in any other State and he has cost the taxpaying citizens of Maricopa millions in lawsuits.
He should franzese his tent jails and sell and manage them across this country as the solution to the illegal alien problem
