The American citizens are NOT tearing apart families. The illegals make the choice to be illegal , so if their family gets torn apart, it is their fault because of the choices they made.
If illegals break the law when they are caught working illegally
they have be held responsible for their action. The employers should be unnerved, and fined and serve jail time, for breaking the law. The amnesty of 1986 was granted under the premise that employers would stop the practice the hiring of illegals. I bet next week when they rehire it will be USA citizens or legal immigrates to do the job. As to breaking up families, when you are here illegally you have to accept that if you are caught, that's the chance you take

It's a victory only in dividing families. It's an embrassing action to think that the country promoting "Freedom" in other countries would act in such an "Freedom Crushing" way.
This is not the answer. This is just an way to look like we are working on the problem. This was done in the 70's & 80's and immigrants are still here...when are they gonna learn this is not the solution?
If people are here working illegally, then they asked for what they got. My sister is an American Citizen, born and raised in the USA and no one will hire her. All the jobs belong to foreigners. Is that fair? I think not.

I certainly think so! They KNEW they were breaking the law...it isn't the LAWS breaking up families...it is the ACTIONS of the parents who are doing so! The ONLY people to blame for the breaking up of families are the parents who broke the law! As far as the employers, GOOD! They NEED to be unnerved!

Ah I love the spin in the link about "tearing apart families". The media would like you to believe the US government is tearing apart the families of these illegal immigrants. The only ones that are tearing apart families are the irresponsible illegal aliens who make the concious decision to leave their families and illegally cross the border into the US. I have no sympathy for those families who are being torn apart when one breaks the law and brings it apon themselves.
I just moved to Oregon from LA. and its the first place Ive ever seen white and black janitors and construction workers. I was pleasantly surprised. So um, NO we manage fine just without them and their pompus attitudes.

I agree it is one small step. In the wrong direction. And of course that all the jobs that they are taking from the American citizen. The same American citizen that can't hack manual labor, leave after a few weeks because it's too hard and they don't pay enough. Boo Hoo, poor me. If your a good worker they will hire you. But if you are not ready to work you butt off you won't get anywhere. Why do you think these illegals get the jobs? Because they break their backs working all day. Something most citizens are “to good” for doing that type of job. For anyone who says "But they are breaking the law." They should really look at what they are saying. Let me know who doesn't speed on the freeway, highway, streets, ect? Who walks half a block to use the crosswalk and walks half a block back. We break the law for our convenience. But these people break the law to have a better life for them and their family. They can't change their government like we can ours. Just because they are democratic. Doesn't mean they have the same rights as we do. The same process as we do. For the ones that are born and raised in the U.S. unless you were Native Americans. Your family went through the same thing when they came to this country. And unless they had a lot of money. They were treated as bad as these illegal immigrants. These people are coming to this country because they don't have the same laws that we take for granted. Before you judge these people look for information on their government and on their laws and when you see what they go through, then you can judge. Not before.
Yes Victory! Now we need to deport more. You break the law you should pay the price, No matter if it is hard on the family's. If Americans break the law we go to jail even if our family's are hurt by it.
this is also a problem when families are being separated. there are mothers and fathers being deported and their 5 year kids coming home from school have nobody to go home to.
As I see it YES! It was a victory. And it proved it further when so many Legal citizens lined up for the jobs that were vacated.

The only people who are born and raised pure breed Americans are the Indians. So the Mexicans are more closely connected to this land than your European, Asian and African lineage because they are half American Indians. Jewish is not a true race it’s a religion. People of Northern African and Middle Eastern descent were the first Jews. The white ones are of mixed European, Middle Eastern and African Descent or they chose the religion. In fact Jacobs descendants are more closely related to the Ethiopian Jews of Africa and Esau's descendants are more closely related to the Middle Eastern Jews. This fact is scientifically and Biblical proved though you wouldn't know unless you did real research. You say your dad is African that's pretty vague. What specific part of Africa is he from? If you ask a person from Africa were there from they want say "Africa" they will tell you the country and there mothers and fathers tribes. My ancestors are from Nigeria, Angola, Cameroon, and Ghana. I had two great grand mothers who mothers were rapped by white men in the early 1900's so I have white blood in me as well. One of the women who was rapped was an American Indian from Mexico. They called her "Big Momma Mexico". You wouldn't be able to tell I have any other race in me because I am a rich dark brown and smooth like Wesley Snipes and Tyson Beckford. In fact I get a bunch of Africans coming up to me believing I'm West African. I'm so proud to be black and it shows in the way I carry myself and speak. I'm just as proud to be a Texan and A US citizen born and raised. I have a low hair cut with so many waves they will make you sea sick if you gaze to long at them. My people have been here in the US since slavery. I know my African heritage because I had to do a whole bunch of research to find it. I'm truly proud of my heritage are you?
