Is there anything different I need to know between the permanent and temporary work permit? obviously i would need to renew it within a year..but in terms of residence...would i be able to stay with a friend without any problems?
Answer:
A work permit for Canada is not always granted for 1 year. It can be 6 months - 3 years, depending on the situation.
A work permit does not dictate if you can live in Canada, you can technically live in Canada after your work permit has expired, you just can't work in Canada without it.
No. But get ready Canada! Americans will be pushing illegal aliens your way!!!!!
They will come to Colonize you!
There is no such thing as a permanent work permit in Canada.
It all depends on your country of origin, the type of work you are applying to do, the terms of you work contract between you and the employer, current labour shortages...lots of stuff
