Retrogression about visa of nurses for USA- when can be lifted?

Answer:
EDIT: The June Visa bulletin just came out. EB-3 backlogs have cleared. A visa is now available.

It's not clear how long. In 2005 50,000 extra visas were set aside for nurses (who would ordinarily be subject to the EB-3 category backlogs). Nurses were then able to come in without the longer EB-3 wait for a visa.

When the 50,000 extra were exhausted, Nurses were folded back into the regular EB-3 category and are now subject to the same wait as other skilled workers and professionals. The June visa bulletin shows availability for cases filed prior to June 2005 for everyone.

Just prior to April 30, 2001 a HUGE volume of EB-3 category labor certifications were filed and these are finally getting through the system. I think that once these cases make it through, the demand will normalize and visas will become available again.
