I apllied for a U.S citizneship 7 years ago and I was denied for lack of moral character (I had been arrested but never convicted on a domestic violence situation). I never appealed the decision. In the meantime I returned to school and acquired my undergraduate and master's degree in Criminal Justice, and stayed out trouble with my wife. I want pursue a career in law enforcement which requires citizenship. I am in the process of filing again for citizenship and I am wondering if anybody out there has any advice on whether I should hire a lawyer. The last time I did the whole process on my own and obviously it did not work out.
Thanks in advance
Answer:
With your history get a lawyer! You need one and he will defend you well as you are a colleague.
i dont think you need a lawyer. plus its gona cost you alot more. you have done good deed in 7 years. and as long as you let them know, i think you should be fine.
