In my permanent resident card shows that I am a resident since oct 2002. Could I apply for citizenship now?

Answer:
Assuming you meet all other requirements for naturalization, you can apply three months prior to reaching your 5 yr. anniversary of perm. resident status. (3 years if you became a perm. resident through marriage and are still married).
