Ill tell you one thing, the Los Angeles hospitals are filled with these women. I had to wait forever to have my baby and I was paying 400 a month for medical! I almost had to have my child in the hall way. And when I bring my kids to the doctors office, guess who fills that up too?

Don't know how many there are but children born in the U.S.A. to illegals are called anchor babies. The baby is automatically a American citizen so the parents are allowed to stay here in the U.S. They then get welfare, medicaid ..
yes. The children are American citizens and if their parents are poor, then the children are poor Americans eligible for assistance.

They can get welfare for the child, but most agencies do not check on if the applicants are illegal or not, and add the forged and stolen documents, I am sure that a high percentage of illegals are getting all types of welfare for the entire family
it's another one of the loop holes no one is bothering to fill. it's just easier to look the other way. i'm a nurse who doesn't make enough money to make ends meet, pay for insurance for myself or my kids, but take care of illegals daily with medicare and all their kids have it as well. i was told i make too much to qualify for medical assistance. tell me, how am i not suppost to get mad at that!?!?! i see it everyday!!

yes- and it it only requires that you are a resident of the US. The supreme Idiot Court ruled that way many years ago. Illegals come here to have children to get a citizenship for the kid. Once that happens, they have a green light to help themselves to medical, food stamps, welfare, and free education all the way to Jr. college level. And WE PAY FOR IT !!
Sure does. That child becomes an American citizen the minute it is born in the US. that is why a lot of illegals are kids here so they have an excuse not to be deported. I'm sick and tired of having to pay so they can use are tax dollars so they can be here illegally to take our jobs, get free medical, free schooling and then we have to pay for the interpreters instead of them learning our language. This is the US can't speak it leave it. This is not all immigrants mind you but a great majority of the Mexicans that come over. I don't think it should make any difference if their child is born here if they are hear illegally send them all back. We have become the welfare country of the world, For anyone here.

This is silly. People are answering questions with what they have "heard" istead of actual knowledge about how the system works.
First, aid is state- mandated, so, the rules in one state may not be the same in the other.
Secondly, in order to consider a family for eligibility - there is an income level that coincides with an income base. A child born here is considered its own entity (like foster children are) and, let's say for a single person it is $300 a month, Obviously, the child is "income eligible", but, there are "family requirements" which state that if that child prepares and eats meals with other people that live in the same household, that all family income has to be considered, but, family size is not altered if there aren't documentation of legal status. OK? So, the child is income eligible (making under $300/month), but, the child eats food with its parents. Therefore, the parents income is considered, and, it pushes the child's income over $300.
In wisconsin, there is also a law that if you can't provide social security numbers or legal documents, you are ineligible. Lastly, medical assistance is seperate. WE do provide health insurance to poor citizens.

Yes and no. The children are eligible for welfare, not their parents. That is NOT allowed unless they are using fake ss, documents, etc. The number of welfare is in this documents (which includes food stamps, etc)

I agree with Sebatian, the child (who is a US citizen) has the right for welfare and other benefits, but not the parent! & most illegal immigrants come here to work thier asses off not to be supported by the gov't like ppl claim.
