My Bro's wife is Illegal from Mexico And has to Do a Voluntary Deportation What Can He DO? in Texas?
Answer:
Sorry, but she broke the law. What more can or needs to be be said?
Why can't she just wait it out? Illegals are going to be legals probably in less than two weeks.
Ignore the haters you're sure to get on this one. Here's the practical answer for you in this situation.
Get thee to an immigration rights advocacy group and get a referral to a pro bono attorney who will take this case. You're gonna have to do some research on the Internet, but such organizations exist. Search keywords: immigration immigrant rights deportation legal law assist assistance.
Failing that, you contact the Texas Bar Association and you get a hold of their no- and low-cost attorney sheet for immigration law. Then you call around.
Good luck!
I don't think there are many who do not have sympathy for your brother's situation, but damn it, things like this happen when people come here illegally.
That sounds like nonsense to me. If your brother is a citizen then she shouldn't get deported. Get a copy of the marriage certificate and go to the Immigration offices.
If she leaves she likely might not be allowed back in.
He absolutely needs a lawyer and I think that the other person who commented has the right idea. There are organizations out there who can and will help you. Have they thought about trying to apply for amnesty in the mean time?
They should have hired a lawyer when they first knew that they were getting married. A marriage license doesn't make her an automatic citizen anymore, you have to go through loads of paperwork to make it legal and get her a green card.
no illegals come into this my country like we did
Go with her !!
My question is why did they wait until she was caught to try to make her legal? Did they not know that this could happen at any time before she was arrested? Is it ok to just keep on keeping on and pray that you aren't picked up? Your brother could have shown his love for this woman by getting her legalized instead of keeping her in jeopardy! It's like the thief who isn't sorry that he stold just that he got caught! I say too little too late and it's their own fault for letting sleeping dogs lie. Sorry I can't be more sympathetic.
If he is that upset he needs to go down to Mexico until she can come back.
He is married, and she is illlegal? Wait...does that mean he is illegal too? They should both go back then.
if they are married and your brother is a citizen of the usa you can contact a congressman and also immigration. My question is why did he not apply for her greencard when they got married.
u def. need a lawyer.
