I wish just for one month, all the hard working undocumented migrants would leave the country, so you would see how many of the menial jobs noone wants to do will be left vacant, and how since employers will have to hire workers and give them higher wages and benefits for the same jobs they give illegals slave wages, how much the cost will be allocated to the consumer and how much things we take for granted, like cheap fruits, will increase in price over night. I'm sure if they were blond blue eyed swedes, there wouldnt be such an uproar in this nation. They said the same things about the Irish.
You would feel different if you were one of the many Americans that are trying to make an honest living but having to compete with an illegal to do your honest job. Illegals have driven the pay on these jobs so much that the average American doesn't want to do it. We also don't want to make less than minimum wage and live with twenty others in a two bedroom to make it by.
No..you're actually right! We should be happy of the fact that when we go to the grocery store, we dont have to pay high prices for our food!!

The younger class of American workers that was weaned on Nintendo,the BooB tube,PlayStation and this awfull old computer,really don't know how to go out and work on a construction job or a short order cook,or anything manual..Damn shame!!
Yes and just think how wonderful it will be when they are willing to do your job for half the pay. Think of all of the free time you will have.
It's not that Americans won't do the jobs; it's that these jobs are substandard in wages and working conditions. Companies that are offering these jobs should not be encouraged to continue doing so; but should be held responsible for corrupting the American work force.
We should be more than happy. Thanks to them, trailer trash can collect a check every month for doing nothing..
I see the problem as one akin to outsourcing. There is something seriously wrong with the economy if families can only survive if Walmart sold products made in China for cheap. What about all those telephone service agents in India who speak English you cannot understand? If we NEED illegal immigrant labor, then our economy has already failed. For long term prosperity, we need to fix the root of the problem.
It's one thing coming to America legally to make a better life, but it's another thing to sneak into America illegally to get what you can from handouts. That is what angers us. If you have what it takes to survive in today's world and are willing to work, by all means welcome to America, but there are enough people who are struggling and below the poverty line and they can't get any assistance because they slip through the cracks, but it is not fair to us Americans to have Illegal immigrants coming here and getting assistance from the Federal, and State government.
If they want to serve and be apart of this country so bad then send them into the military and after 4 years the ones that come back alive get to have a green card.
