Passport??

I heard that starting in 2008 everyone will now need a passport in order to go over any bridge to get into another state. Is this true? And if it is don't you think it's a little too much?

Answer:
Passports are required to get back into the US. Interstate travel does not require one.
In 2008, everyone will need a passport to re-enter the US. No passport is needed for inter state travel though.**
