Are you going to celebrate?
Answer:
I'm celebrating with a slice of American Apple Pie and vanilla ice cream.and while I'm consuming this delightful treat I am e-mailing all my state congressmen and sending faxes refuting the "Fairness Doctrine" which is designed to silence the grassroots of our nation.
We, those who fought back against the illegal invasion, have become the largest voting bloc in the country.
We cannot stop. Kennedy and others will submit less dramatic bills in hopes of doing this in smaller chunks.
Celebrate this week, but then go back to work. Call your legislators every week. Pressure them to enforce immigration laws.
the stone walls around my estate need some rebuilding.any fat lazy americans out there willing to do manuels labor?
I'm celebrating! Now the elites in DC know the masses aren't asleep, and that they can't change the course of history of our country behind closed doors.
I want state and local govts to take actions against illegals. I want illegal prisoners deported. I want border barriers on the Canadian and Mexican frontiers. I want better screening out of undesirables. I want terrorists smugglers gangs and criminals wiped out. But today we celebrate.
Build the wall, deport the illegals, and enforce the laws NOW!
For now yes...I will breathe a bit easier...but like other answers, I will continue to push the agenda of taking back america...
I want to say that we are making it good to work and be here. We are just at the point of being accountable for the problems we cause by exploitation. The only people that are profiting are the big business and industry. The big losers are taxpayers and the middle class.
Yes, celebrate for sure. We now have even more reasons to celebrate. Yes, yes, yes. to all you have stated. Just, please, remember those traitors that were insisting on granting amnesty come re election time, and not favorably. Wonderfu, wonderful, wonderful.
Now all we need is a Republican President to finish the job, that GW is incapable of doing.
No - It's back to SOS! (same ol shite)
The Republicans (Big Business) get to keep cheap labor with no legal action being taken against them, and Democrats cans say to the Labor Unions we protected your jobs and kept Illegal Latino families from being split up.
The final count shows the Democrats could have passed this bill - if they thought it was going to help get the Latino vote, but Latino's are against it because of the "touch-back" clause.
Wake up! This was a BS Bill crafted in a way that both parties can say they tried to do something about Illegal immigration, and you all fell for it - again.
yup. just enforce the laws and have new plan will be open
to the public.
We can celebrate this victory for now, but the battle is far from over. We now need to start putting pressure on Washington to enforce out current immigration laws. We must be vigilant as ever and don't let your guard down!
There's no telling what else those traitors are planning...
AMEN
The link below will show you how each Senator voted,
all those that voted YEA need to be voted out of office,
including those that are Presidential candidates, we can
not allow the next president of the United States try to
bring this bill back and get if passed while we sleep..
Now we need to beat Congress' brains out and get them
to build the WALL to keep our borders safe and to
start getting the current illegals out of our country NOW!!
It is time to end the free ride.
I celebrate everyday my friend. I knew that this bill would not pass. Too many Vietnam vets involved in the no amnesty victory campaign my friend. But to see it's official is pretty cool. Now we can really appreciate this coming 4th of July!! God bless America, land that I love.
We need to keep the celibration brief, this is no time to let up. Kate is right, they will still try to slide it through under any cover they can.
Karen, get off it already, its history.
Anyone who has studied real history, knows that this land didn't belong to the indians exactly.
They had not established set territories, they had no law for the nation, because there were so many nations. Most tribal names meant "the people", they regarded most other tribes as enemies or strangers and kept that opinion until proven wrong.
They made slaves out of those they captured, they tourtured male prisioners, not for fun but to let them earn respect with their deaths and atone for being captured.
The Ho-Chunk-Gra (Winnebago) tribe in Wisconsin took their territory from the Lakota in the 1400's when they migrated from Canada.
No they were not all bad, they had no locks, they didn't need them. They didn't beat their children, they had traditions and a rich heritage. There were extremly intelligent statesmen among the tribes.
But they didn't have laws forbiding illegal invasions. They believed in taking what they could hold from their enemies and expected the same in return.
We now have modern civilization, there are laws for the entire country and they are expected to be obeyd, if not, then the lawbreakers should expect to be punished not rewarded with "rights" they never earned.
There is no reason to bring the natives into this. That was history.
We are now talking about illegals violating the current "established" laws.
John I'm afraid that this is all a part of their plan and we aren't looking at the complete picture.
I think Bush and everyone who wants this bill to pass knows that we wouldn't want it and would fight against it.
This time makes twice in a row they have voted for it in a short period of time.
I think they are trying to wear us down and make us weary in hopes that if they keep at it we will eventually grow weary of it and stop fighting against it and let it pass.
They said that it will not be brought back until after the 2008 elections but I think that is a hoax and we will see more of it in the near future.
Bush wants amnesty period and will stop at nothing to see that he gets it so eventhough it got shot down again I'm sure as determined as he is that he will keep trying until we get so damn sick of hearing about it we just give up and let him have his way.
At least I think that's what he's counting on we'll do but I for one will never get tired of saying no to amnesty no matter how many times they throw it up in our face.
But we still have another year and a half to go before we're rid of Bush once and for all and I hope the American people can stick it out until then and keep saying no to amnesty.
What I'm wondering is if he will ever have to answer for what he's doing and what he intends for the American people.
He's made deals with the devil and promises that are dark that have nothing to do with our best interest and everything to do with his own.
If that happens that will be the day that I celebrate and pop open the champagne bottles and pour myself a glass.
