Whats some good thing about chinese immigrants and how they are treated?
Answer:
The Chinese were very integral in building the railroads in their infancy. In those days they were treated nearly as slave labor, except they got a little pay for their efforts.
Today I believe still a great number of Chinese immigrants are not treated very well either. I have seen many that are very highly educated have to start over in college as many do not take Chinese college degrees as legitimate. The fact is most Chinese people with college degrees have a better education than they get here taking those four or six years of college over again.
Just a fact to make everyone think a little. There are more students in the top 20% academically (equal to our top 20% students) in China, which is more than the entire population of the United States.
They gave us some AWESOME food, nicely starched laundry- & their fortune cookies are RIGHT ON! :)
Chinese immigrants tend to be hard working individuals who offer useful services such as laundry, dry cleaning, chefs, restaurant owners, housekeepers, personal services such as health care workers and maids, doctors, surgeons, scientists, mathematicians and nurses. They have cleaning services to offer in many areas. They are educated, family oriented and have a low crime rate. They come in legally, settle into a community, take responsibility for themselves, pay taxes and become welcome additions to our country.
