Yes, I understand how you feel. I don't live in America, but the situation is similiar in my country. As a local, I am having problem to secure my job, but the whole department (IT), 80% are foreigners, 50% are indian. Wonder what's the hell the Government is doing?
The Indian work ethic is unlike ours. They are very disciplined and exhibit self control. They also are taught business economics in school along with a lot of other classes that prepare them for life in the world we live in today and prepare them for the world of tomorrow. They also realize the potential in the American economy and know how and what to do to be successful.
know what you mean! there is a survey that is called security that you can add your name to - b/c they do not have to pay taxes etc but get all of our welfare benifits! That really sucks!- If you want to come here then do- Great but Be a American and pay the taxes like we do!
Because they well educated and are able to fill high tech jobs. Unlike the US, Indians place great value on education. When our own US workforce is inadequate, we must import workers to fill those jobs.
yeah, I totally agree with you. Every time I call tech support, most of time are Indians answer the phones, cannot even understand what they say. More and more people lost of their jobs, casualties of Bush's gov't immigrant policies. We, tax payers, need to pay for unemployment while those foreigners come in here, making high pay and are able to afford high housing prices keep property price sky high, this is just got to stop somehow.
Because we need well educated and trained man power. Americans do not like scince and math

Well my friend. Apparently this means that Americans aren't up to par with the whole technology thing. And, even though its wrong, Indians work for a lot cheaper....plus they're hard workers. Looks like you might have to adjust, because they're Americans now.
Indians are good at computer technology and have attractive job offers coming from abroad.
India has 2nd largest population and hence students have to survive such huge competition to be able to reach top. Competition in sparsely populated countries is less.
Indians have to cater to basic needs of huge population, hence cant afford to spend on education and research.
Most of the middle-class families in India spend their life-long savings to be able afford education abroad for their children.( Indians too hate such children who, work abroad and turn a blind eye to stupendous sacrifices done by their parents.)
Indian government from its tight budget spends millions on educating students through IIT's and IIM so that students stay back in India and work for India. (But students choose to work abroad in search of better opportunities. Indians dont like their students working abroad either)
Indians do live in a higher economic strata (based on annual income) than most others in the U.S So they dont exactly work 'cheap', while staying in the States.
Most of the Indians are temporary residents who stay in the US for short durations of their projects. This also benefits your apartment landlords (ready customers) additionally, they also pay taxes to the local and federal governments since they are legal residents of the US. In fact, most of the temporary residents who go back to India do not lay claim to Social security benefits which incidentally are withheld as part of their annual income in $$$. So essentially they do a great service by paying for America's needy and unemployed. Not substantially, but they do it nevertheless.
Now look at the complete circle. Indians who stay abroad and come back to India are the prime contributers to a burgeoning middle-class who is spending and splurging-on what? Nothing else but McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Pepsi/Coke, Nike etc. They have provided a ready market that American companies are looking for to capitalize on.
So you see, its a win-win situation for the corporates of both countries. Both Indian and American government are smart enough to work for their own benefits this way.

Easy awnswer, because its cheaper if 300 indians live in one flat, the monthly costs are divided into significantly less amounts, thus making the antitypical indian very clever, they do wear their pants outside of their trousers and they have two jobs at least so they are in affect like superman.
It because that Mircosoft can pay all the fees for immigration, transportation, and wages for life, cheaper than they can hire U.S. citizens. Why do you think Gates is the riches man in the world.

I don't care what nationality you are or were. Your all in it together . be Canadian or American and learn English. Immigrants know more about North America than us citizens . So , all of us better get our brains going and work together I'm disgusted by biggots who think their nationality is the best , smartest, fastest, most important. If you have a brain , use it . And if your mouth moves before your brain thinks, shut it.
As I see it we have lost our way, the focus of our citizenry is for parents to have someone else look after our children while we work.
We get the children up and in front of the TV then off to school , there we make the teachers teach how to pass the test so that they can meet the no child left behind. instead of educating them to enter life with knowledge broad enough to achieve the highest standards in the world.
In India as you put it . 80% are living in abject poverty, in spite of this they value the family, education and they respect the Elders especially the Teachers.
Most are taken to school by family members.
