What if you are brought to the USA when you were a baby..?

My question is what should a 25 year old man should do if he was brought illegaly to this country when he was a baby and was raised here, we can also say he learn english better than spanish a very smart man with a dream to become a police officer, should he still be sent back to his country? What do you guys think? He is a man who haves a son and a wife should he be separated from his family as well?

Answer:
He should look into getting his paperwork started so he can remain here! I'm really excited that he has the ambition to work for the city in the country that technically isn't his own. Encourage him to start on the paperwork quickly!
My fiancee's mother is a naturalized citizen and had to work very hard for her status but she is very proud! She is now a college graduate and works for a prestigous financial institution. She did not come from a wealthy family- in fact they were field workers! She has so many cool stories of growing up as a immigrant. . .
Encourage him! Let me know what happens!
Just do like the other illegals are doing:
Sneak around and wait for the amnesty.
na, he should be able to stay here...

i´ll protest for him!

i love immigrants, almost more than my fellow americans
These are very sad situations but 1st of all the law is the law second of all why didn't his parent become legal in 86? His and many other illegal parents do their children a great disservice. But I think your just creating a fake story to try and make people feel bad anyway the whole thing doesn't make sense.
Send him back. He isn't supposed to be here, sorry, but too bad. Blame your parents, if they didn't break the law he never would've had the opportunity to enjoy this country this long.
Contact an immigration attorney. He didn't bring himself here but he's an adult with a family now and needs to get this fixed. Hopefully his wife is legal.
The same thing happened to my husband but he was 14. It wasn't his choice to come here. But his parents crossed him legally with passport and Visa.
This guy could just as easily go to an immigration lawyer and fight for his residency. He has been here alomost all of 25 years. It probably wouldn't be that hard to get since he has been here that long and more than likely has a wife that is a citizen.
Good Luck to him!
If he is legally married to a US citizen he has nothing to worry about. If not...he is an undocumented illegal immigrant, he should seek legal advice.
I think there needs to be a provision in any bill to allow for this kind of exception. This almost falls into the contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He came here illegally against his will and therefore I think he should get a chance to become a naturalized citizen as long as his criminal record is clean.
He entered the country illegally. End of story.

He (and/or his parents) broke the law. There is a penalty associated with that.

However - he has ALSO had the time in the country to petition his case and change his status on his own (any time after he turned 16), if he's actually 25. And his parents have also had the same chances - starting right after they entered the country. Since (apparently) he and they have not done so, the only conclusion is that they do not care whether they are breaking the law or not. Again, there is a penalty associated with that choice.

Should he be forced to leave the country? Yes, if that is the penalty that is conferred on those who are here illegally.
Deport him ASAP, if he really wants to be an AMERICAN, then he should be more than happy to abide by the US Constitution and come back with legal paperwork
he will not be sent back and he will most likely stay undercover.

I once worked with a white female who spoke with an American accent, had a husband and kids, job and car. We went on vacation and she disclosed to me that her parents were foreign born and she came here as a child and the4 family's papers run out and they just stayed on, she has no birth certificate, green card, citizenship whatsoever, she's been here like fifteen years now, so says she will just stay as is.
When i met her folks is when i knew it, her story was true.
He has had a terrible injustice done to him - by the people who brought him here ILLEGALLY, his parents.

We can't make a rule giving an exception to him without inviting all sorts of fraud.

His wife and child can visit him in his home country while he fills out the paperwork and tries to comply with the law, if possible.

Good luck to him.

If my parents stole something and gave it to me, I'd still have to give it back even though I didn't want to. The parents get the blame, not my country.
What a sad story. Your parents did you an injustice. You are paying the price of your parents sins. Get a lawyer,I think under the cirmunstances you should be able to stay.
We'll I'm sure he can not accomplish his dream, if he is here illegally. He should contact the bureau of naturalization though. So, that at least he can begin the process of becoming a U.S citizen. If he can at least begin the process things should work for the best.
I agree with the above woman, but still a sad irony, being a victim of circumstances as such
Since he have a US citizen son, it is easy to become a citizen, check out the ICS web site
1. who brought him here when he was an infant?

2. how was he smuggled into this country?

3. how much of our tax dollars went to feed, house, clothe, medicate and educate him?

4. did the ? parent ? that snuck him over the border become a legal citizen? if so, when? if so, why did such person never declare that they brought a baby into this country?

know that as the 1,000 page strive act reads NOW, all illegal aliens that are heads of households have to back to their native country (why?) for some time (how long?) and then return here (when?) to be documented (by what mysterious, top level, secret and unforgable id system) to get the right to work here legally (and who will pay for this transportation?)

under such circumstances, this illegal alien had no say so, and was not even able to walk across the border (the one that has no 700 mile fence that was voted to be built last year by congress) nor make his mind up as to which country he wanted to live in--however, he must, if this act is passed (what a rush is on the vote, too!) go back to mexico (for how long?) thereby not being able to disclipline his children, have normal marital relations with his wife (when you are injured in an accident, loss of "consortium" with your spouse, the act of intimate relations, will most likely get a dollar value attached to it when it comes time to try or to settle the case), and/or to bring home the bacon so that the expenses of the family are paid. if he owns a house with a mortgage, it will be foreclosed upon by the lender. gee, isn't that another one that's good for our economy?

here is what happens when one spouse is a legal citizen of the united states and the other spouse is not, and they have a baby. if the baby is born overseas in the country of the unnaturalized, non-citizen of the usa, then the baby gets dual citizenship. he has citizenship in the united states, and he has citizenship in his non-citizen parent's country. and that is all.

we are supporting so many damned latino gang members and drug pushers that do not pay taxes on their ill-gained and criminally attained income in our prison system and on the streets that we literally NEED police officers that are bilingual and who know how latino crime culture is.

i think that the maximum "penalty" placed upon him would be to go to the schools that immigrants go to, to learn the words and meanings of the constitution and bill of rights (better than we learn them) and then pass immigration tests to naturalize him. that's because he did not commit a crime himself and would be a highly productive and desirable member of our society.
