What is your proposal. This is what irks me. It isn't that people are unsatisfied with what is going on. It is that nobody ever has a solution to offer up in its place. If you don't have a better idea, sit down and shut up!

Most lawmakers think we are either so wrapped up in our life that we will not notice or lacking the intelligence to see this bill for what it is.. a mistake...
Caution: truth may hurt: I will tell you what my proposal is... ENFORCE THE LAWS WE ALREADY HAVE. Hey that's a novel idea, hmmm enforce the laws? could it be that simple? Tighten the border and the illegal immigrant problem begins to disappear? Shazam, why didn't somebody think of this before.

For starters, he had to assume we wouldn't read the bill, from the way he touted it as 'enhancing border security'.
If you take a look at how the senators voted, its not just Bush trying to push this through, most Democrat's voted for it. Does that give everyone a clue what will happen if more democrats get in? The Republicans over whelming voted no.
Obviously Bush thinks we are total idiots.and has gotten away with it for years. Why should he change his tune now when he is almost done anyway.
He must think we are and that if he keeps pushing this that we'll give in. I've read things were even some of the congressman (i guess thats who was voting for it) want it passed and is going to try for that, I wonder how they think this is good for the country. I came to the conclusion today that Bush is doing it for money. Because if this passes then the immigrants can pay like $5000 and become legal and I'm sure that goes to the government. And hes been saying "now is the time to do it"... yeah because he isnt getting his war money from anyone else so why not make a bill that will give him millions in the end. Thats what I think... he wants more money for the war. It is not good for this country... and yeah what we should do is enforce the laws we already have. They must have forgot about those. I hope people are writing to their congressman and telling them how they feel about this bill.
