I don't care if their starving, have bad acne and a hangnail. What ever problems they have, are their problems that they need to take care of, on their side of the border.
The last I saw, the children's network only asks for sponsors in Africa, southeast Asia, some parts of Central America and selected areas in South America. I've never seen requests for sponsors in Mexico, have you?

My guess is that it would be pretty low. In order to make it across and to a "safe" place, one would have to have some strength for the journey. I don't think starvation is a huge issue in Mexico-- sure there are plenty of poor people and I'm sure plenty of malnourished people, I don't think its nearly as bad as in say Africa or other places. That's those coming to the US illegally-- I figure those people are leaving before things get really bad for them.

Most of the illegals who cross the border are not the ones who are starving. They're the ones who are healthy enough and able enough to make the hundred or thousand mile trek to WORK to send money back to their families at home.

It isn't starvation, but more poverty..Of course you can't compare Africa to Mexico.Mexico has much more resources to farm, than Africa, Mexico is more furtile land.But people living in squalor and without running water.If you got out in the world more, you would have a better concept of the real world.

I dont want to be brutal but there are so many things wrong with your question. First of all what they mean is alot of people live very poorly in mexico and they come to america to make money and support there families and live a more comfortable life. Two do you live in a house? do you eat fresh frutis and veggies? do you eat meat? Immigrants and illegals uphold our communities by building our homes picking cleaning growing and selling our fruits and veggies. would you slaughter your own cows pigs and chickens? probably not but thanks to our immigrants and illegals its done for a few dollars an hour and you eat well every night. They slave labor for pennies comapred to waht you or your parents make. and the sad thing is that your family at one time were immigrants too, and they cqame here for the same reason. Why should mexican and arab and who ever else wants to come be allowed to come here and try and make a good life for themselves. Plus whats the point in being racist and crule twoards these people, I white, im fat and i have no problem with fat mexican people crossing the border working hard making my life a little easier and bettering themselves. Of course thats the problem with alot of people in america, they are so affraid of change and new cultures and new possibilities that we try to prvent it from flooding our country. Did you see that the guys who plotted the Fort Dix attack came into the United States through Mexico and that they lived in a sanctuary city that protected them from punishment for the laws they broke -- lots of driving violations and other charges. They weren't punished because of the sanctuary city protection. Would that U.S. Citizens could avoid punishment because Citizens were given Sanctuary in certain towns.
We have veterans and homeless in the U.S.A. and children in Appalachia here in the USA who are in much greater danger of starving to death than the illegal immigrants from Mexico. Don't buy their lies and garbage. Arrest, detain, deport, derail their immigration train.
Obviously not THAT many... if there were a country that's people were truly suffering on a large level, wouldn't we be sending aid and setting up refugee camps?
