Chances of re-entry after overstaying a visa?
i'll have overstayed my visa by almost 4 months by the time i leave canada, i haven't worked or anything and my boyfriend has supported me, i wasnt planning to overstay but i fell pregnant and we both just kept putting it off with the excitment or our growing baby. Now i dont want to get citizenship or residency as i am more than happy to go back and live in australia, but my partners mother is very sick with liver cancer and can't travel. so in order for her to see our baby, she has asked me to come back and spend 3 months here after our baby is born and not wanting to deprive her of time with her only grandchild but i dont know if ill be allowed to re-enter canada, so if anyone knows anything or anyone who may be a help it would be appreciated:)

Enter the USA and then return to Canada.
apply for a restoration of status
consider residency.

Honestly, you speak English and I'm sure if allowed to stay in the U.S. legally you would assimilate and blend in. I have no problem with you being here. I have a problem with illegals who refuse to assimilate, learn English, rape our system, take advantage of govt programs designed for the poor Americans and brag about being here illegaly. Close the border!!
to answer your question, consult an immigration lawyer. the immigration law is so complex and you don't want to make any mistakes. mistakes can hurt your case in the long run.
If you over stay your visit then if your honest about it than you might can re enter with a good reason., but if you not being responsible about handling your business than you may suffer the consequences.
