When applying for citizenship, what kind of questions (OTHER THAN U.S. GOV) will be asked?

How exactly is the exam. Is it oral or is it written? I am not concerned about the U.S government questions but i'm concerned about the literacy questions. What kind of questions would be there? Is it true that the interviewer would ask the person applying for citizenship to write him a sentence? Please explain the parts of the exam.

Answer:
I'd like to help you but I understand the test changed since I took mine over a year ago.

It was very easy, a few oral questions about Civics and American History; then he gave me pen and paper, asked me a question and told me to write down the answer; then he pronounced a long sentence and told me to write it down. That was all.

It was funny because he kept repeating it and I was already finished. He sounded rather surprised I did it so quickly.

I don't know if this is the procedure in every case. The guy must have noticed from the very beginning that I was fluent in English, so maybe that's why he didn't ask more questions. I really can't tell.

In general, the exam was very easy. But as I said, I understand it is different now.

The person talked to me in English through the whole interview.

Do you have problems writing English? I'd practice a little if I were you. And study your History and your Civics also.
.
Sorry, I don't know. I was born in the U.S.A.
The test as it is right now has not change. It is going to change in the near future. The only thing is going to change are some of the questions. The test is orally; you will be asked about five questions. If you get them all correct you pass. If you miss one or two, you will be ask three more. If you get them correct you will pass, if not you will fail.

Good luck!
