Do i need a work permit if i have a perminate resident card for canada?

i'm taking about canadian immigration.

Answer:
A Permanent Resident card entitles the individual to live and work in the country for which it was issued ... as long as they ALSO maintain the requirements for permanent residency.

A separate work visa is not necessary; the PR card is deemed to fulfill that documentation requirement. However, the individual must ALSO present a valid passport at the time of employment (and maintain it during their period of employment), issued by their native country. This is because permanent residency means the individual is a citizen of another country - and most employers will require some sort of proof of citizenship.
