Why are pro amnesty folks saying its not fair to compare americans who do crimes for money to illegals who...?
I mean they are serving the same purpose no matter what the pay. I mean seriously if it's okay to overlook one crime because they are wanting to support a family, isn't it only fair to overlook them all? I asked that yesterday, and people were saying that I can't compare the two. Well, why not? I mean if they didn't need the money for a legitamate reason they wouldn't be breaking the law right? I mean that's you pro's main excuse for wanting amnesty. So what's fair is fair.

You can not compare dealing drugs and robbing banks with walking across an imaginary line. Immigration laws are stupid.
Illegal is just that...Illegal. Round them up and deport them.

You compared illegal aliens to bank robbers. that is obviously an extreme comparison. You acted like all criminals are the same. Robbing a bank is much worse then entering a country illegally. If you would have used a more rational comparison, you would have have more answers agree with you. For example, someone who cheats on their taxes in order to keep the money is much closer to an illegal alien then a bank robber.
Endorsing treating illegals like bank robbers seems like fear mongering and overreacting. Treating illegals like more comparable criminals is more rational.
you need to be a little more specific. If you are referring to so-called "coyotes," those people who help persons cross the border illegally for money, that is a serious federal crime. I know of no amnesty proponents who argue that human trafficking is not a serious crime.
If you are referring to drug traffickers, again, I know of no amnesty proponents who diminish the seriousness of drug traffickers who bring illicit narcotics across the border.
However, if you are merely referring to undocumented aliens whose only crime is crossing the border without inspection, then there is no comparison between them and other criminals who rob, steal, and defraud innocent victims. You are generalizing when you assume that people who rob and steal are doing so for legitimate reasons.

Because pro amnesty folks are not the sharpest tools in the shed. They are of the :don't confuse me with facts, my mind is already made up ilk.
Most are like parrots. They repeat what they hear. They don't think past what they read. "if we make them legal they will pay taxes" Now why would they do that? If they are not paying taxes now what makes them think they will if legal?
"We will make them pay back taxes" Really? how are you going to do that? How are you going to determine how much they owe?
Fact is our congress wants to pass a law and they have no idea how to implement it and won't enforce it. All we will get is the amnesty, any enforcement provisions will not be enforced. Just like 1986

If you don't understand the pro amnesty folks stand on this, it leads me to believe you have a comprehension problem..YOU CAN'T COMPARE A ROBBER/MURDER/PEDOPHILE to an illegal coming here for a better life.As far as, drug pusher/dealer, human traffickers, welfare cheats,etc. are a different category.This is not exclusive to illegals, citizens also commit these crimes...

The law is the law is the law and Justice is supposed to be blind. So there is no reason to differentiate between the crimes committed by illegals and those committed by citizens.
My coworkers brother was killed by an illegal alien with an illegal weapon. He went to address the guy for eating his dog and got shot with a sawed off shotgun at point blank.
if you cross the border illegally it's a crime, if you steal a car it's a crime, if you rob a bank it's a crime, if you murder someone it's a crime, all of these crimes have different penalties yet they are all crimes, so an illegal immigrant is a criminal just the same as a bank robber.
The difference is you are compareing violent crimes to misdemeanors.Let's take your example ok? Lets say a drug dealer they do crimes for money right? That may affect a loved ones mind.May cause a loved one to kill themselves or others... ummmm how does one who comes illegally do that? ..How can you compare a bank robber to person coming to better their lives? Thats how you can't compare them.
