It doesn't sound anymore enforceable than what we have now. They can make as many laws as they want, but these laws simply are not enforced. Sounds like another appeal to anybody who still has regard for the law. Otherwise, what will be different?

A GROUP of Senators has reached a deal and the President is expected to SUPPORT it. The bill has not yet been drafted and will need to pass the first vote, to even debate it, on Monday. Then, if passed, it would be debated.
However, I am surprised at Kyl, from what I hear of the bill to be drafted.
Here is the latest, note how the 'merit based point system' now includes 'family ties' which seems the same nepotism it was before.

As I understand it the illegals have to register, pay a 5K fine, go back to their country of origin, file for the Z Visa to come back. Under this plan it would take most illegals 8-13 years to gain citizenship in the USA. There is also a point system involved where the illegals are on a point system based on education and skill level.
Time to round 'em up and get 'em out.

Well I dont know how much more of this bullshit Americans can pay for,You are right there will be a war! Why shouldn't Americans be offended? Illegals didn't earn a damn thing to deserve amnesty or this kind of reward. All the government does anymore is reward illegals, and criminals with no real plans to stop it. Besides Congress has no legal right to grant amnesty or asylum to any illegals. That is State by State option. So I don't know why you and the others think that Congress can legally pass such laws regarding this issue. And anchor babies are just a fable being spread through ignorance.

And Z Visas do nothing to require illegals to go back home after registering. Just like the student visas and work visas do nothing to guarantee illegals going back home. Because once those are expired or soon to expire the illegals go underground and still remain in America.
