How long it takes to receive green card in the mail?
I live in New York.
Answer:
They usually tell you that you'll get it in 90 days. Most of the time they take less than that. Or at least, it was like that a few years ago.
We all know things have become a little slow.
I'd say no less than 45 days and no more than 60 days.
Good luck!

Hi!
I am an immigrant from Poland and I lived in chicago for 10 years. I received my green card in less than a year it should take up to 90 days but never does, thats their regulation. The most important thing that you have to look at is the expiration date on your temporary green card, it's good for only 3 months, so make sure that you check with immigration office during that 90 days, remember your employer has every right to terminate your position.
Some states might be faster or slower to complete their paper work.
Good Luck!!
It is hard to say. It depends on how many cards are being made. If you need prof of your status as Legal Permanent Resident for employment or to come back into the U.S. you can go to your local CIS (INS) office and request a temporary Resident Card or if you have a passport from your country, they can put a seal in it. This seal will be sufficient prof of your status in the U.S.
