Can a person who's been deported be buried in the US?
Answer:
Well, we didnt want them when they were alive...what makes you think we want them when they are dead?? :Þ
yes but doesnt happen often
yeah I think so, a dead body isn't a person. but they might have to be cremated first (public health issues maybe)
Contact US customs perhaps.
good question.
But you need to call a mortician.
This is a regulated industry.
The people here will say something but not qualified.
call the funeral director
Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to do that. The family will have to handle the cost of preparing and shipping either the body or the ashes: the arrangements for embalming, cremation, shipping and all the documents can be made with the assistance of the nearest US embassy or consulate, the American Citizen Services section. We do this all the time for American citizens, and sometimes for people in the situation you have outlined, as well.
They can if the family has the body shipped here .
