It certainly is better than invading Iraq! The US don't have the long distance to transport the oil, and it will certainly solve the illegal Mexican immigrations. Just imagine the financial savings to the US without having to maintain the border guards in the south.
If you invade mexico, south america will back up mexico and Al-queda would come in from Canada, like how they are doing now.

The United States has been invading ALL of Latin America for the last two centuries. Did you think the Emancipation Proclamation just sort of died away? Of course not, they just changed it to have an economical instead of physical control of the continent. You control our resources already alright, and that is the cause that many of us just don't have enough and need to emigrate illegally. Illegal immigration is a situation provoked by the U.S. Government itself, so I would stop and think who the true invader is.
