Green Card waiting time?
Answer:
You will get a stamp in your passport if you are successful. The stamp is good for twelve months. You will probably get your Green Card a whole lot quicker though - six weeks is the most I waited for mine.
Did you not apply for a work permit? If you did you would have received it by now and been able to work. In any case, as soon as you get the stamp in your passport, you can apply for a Social Security Number. Once you have that, you can work.
Are your taxes up to date? They will check. How long since you had your fingerprints? That can sometimes (only sometimes) cause a delay.
Hope all goes well at the interview. Don't be too nervous. If you have nothing to hide and have a proper relationship with your husband everything should go just fine.
In my experience, anywhere between 2 weeks and 3 months provided everything was alright at the interview (background checks, fingerprints and so forth).
It is a good idea to ask the officer at the end of the interview.
Hope this helps.
Hi.
Please remember that every state immigration system can faster or slower. I know that in chicago takes about 90 days. Arizona takes from 90 days to a year. Mean while the paper that you get from immigration might expire so look on that issue because your employer can let you go if is expired, remember that.Awalys keep contact with your nearest immigration office.
