Why does America have only 11,000 border patrol agents covering 6,000 miles and 37,000 covering S. Korea's?
If America had the same ratio of personnel protecting our borders, we would have approximately 1,480,000 troops protecting our American border from sea to shining sea. If we weren't fighting wars throughout the world and returned our troops home, to protect the "homeland" vs. fighting and dying in Iraq which only makes the risk of future attack greater we would be able to properly secure our borders.
Should Bush I, Clinton and Bush II be tried and executed for their acts of treason for allowing over 20 million illegal aliens to breech our border while Americans fund troops half way around the world to secure other nations borders?

good question. I would say to prevent war from initiating again.
bush is the one who needs to be charged with treason. when our military went to Iraq is when the illegals started to come in. they don't have the ballz to come in while they are here.
Illegal immigration gives us an underground source of cheap labor to prop up our way of life, easily exploited because they lack status, willing to do difficult labor because of the abject poverty they come from. If you pay people a decent wage to pick the crops, slaughter the animals, clean the stores, wash the dishes, etc, how much more am I going to pay when I head to the grocery store, restaurant, and mall? Personally, I think all people, absolutely all people, should earn a living wage for their labor. When faced with the consequences, though, I'm not sure most people are willing to live with the consequences.
Most politicians understand this. Heck, I've spoken to many border patrol agents who understand this. That's why immigration reform will be debated around election times--it's an emotional issue that riles up the bases--but ultimately nothing significant will change. We don't really want to shut down illegal immigration.
First it is not 20 million it is closer to 15 second they has been talk about scaling down troop levels in certain areas like S. Korea and Okinowa, because the fear of communism has passed. Don't get me wrong we still need a substantial force on that border because it really is the only thing that keeps N. Korea from wanting to invade the south. But maybe scale it down to 20 thousand might be better and have more military back up the Border patrol in sealin off the border.
The U.S. prostituted it's self out to become the leader of the "New World Order" - by sending jobs overseas and strengthening the countries that always end up turning on us (like the new British government) - So, in order to compete with India, Taiwan, China, and all the others - we have to accept slave wages that only the illegal immigrants are willing to take - in order to compete with this "new world economy" that we manufactured. Remember " When you hold up your middle finger at someone - there are always four fingers pointing back at you!".
