I think that he is. Maybe he was scared it would hurt his presidential campaign since the illegal immigrants won't be able to vote for him.
I think before he wised up and voted against the bill, he was uninformed. A dangerous thing to offer support for anything without full prior knowledge. A horrible trait for any candidate.

Brownbeck is right, it would not fix the current illegal alien problem in the US. Another ten years or so, the same thing will happen. You forget, they do not enforce the laws now. Why do you think they will after the bill is passed! There is nothing wrong with switching your vote. Maybe Brownbeck had a moment of clarity. Maybe he did not. The only one who truly knows is Brownbeck. Anything else is speculation at best. I think you should ask yourself why a certain party cares more about illegals , then their own citizens. Could it be because this is the only way they will ever get a majority of voters in this country. Once these illegal can vote that is. So in essence doing what they could not with the legal populous. Yea, that's American! Republican are the only ones who care about the effect of illegal immigration on America. Democrats are willing to sacrifice our laws, people and a balanced demographic for a one party system. Where their party will be the supreme ruler over the people. Yea, that's democracy at work! Which party is for Americans and which is for illegals. I will stick with Republicans, traditionally and historically they have been the party for the people by the people.
