Corporate greed the real problem?
Unfortunetely, my friends, this trend started in the early 80's and would take about that long to reverse without putting the economy into a tailspin; which is now absolutely dependent on cheap labor.
If you want to put an end to these economic trends--Don't buy any products that have cheap labor built into their cost structure-- it really can't be done. illegal immigration continues, status quo continues--

Don't think so.

Corporations are part of what makes the USA great.
They provide jobs to workers, they earn profits for investors, they develop new medicines and technologies that improve our lives. They build the advanced weapons systems that keep the US Armed Forces the premier fighting unit in the world, which protects all of our Freedoms.
Corporations, in short, are our lifeblood. Without them we are nothing.
Maybe you have enough money to purchase products that do not have cheap labor built into their cost structure, but I don't. I bargain shop because that's all that my budget allows. If I didn't have to pay ridiculously exorbitant taxes, I might have enough money to buy more expensive goods, but that's not my current reality. Your solution punishes consumers. As a consumer on a budget, I don't appreciate that.
*Edit: I'm not against illegal immigration. I'm for open borders. I believe that individuals should be able to enter into any contract they want, and that governments have no right to interfere with that. So, if a worker from Mexico wants to work in a factory in the US and doesn't mind getting paid two bucks an hour, then I have absolutely no problem with that. I am not prepared to pay more as a consumer, and I'm also a believer in free trade, open borders, and the free market.
This is a long term problem, but we must start somewhere, and if paying higher prices on the front end so that in the long run we will not have to 2.4 trillion to pay for the amnesty so be it
This is ridiculous.
Tyson never "fired" any workers because they were "American." 1/3 of the company's workforce is currently Hispanic, but if there are any "Americans" that want to work for the company, there are job openings today.
Tyson currently uses every means possible to validate the documentation of its workers, including the U.S. government's VOLUNTARY Basic Pilot program, in which EVERY new hire's documentation is run through an ICE/Social Security Administration database.
Three times in the late '90's the Justice Department sent letters to Tyson stating it was being TOO discriminatory in its hiring practices.
