Is it possible to deport the millions of illegal aliens?
Answer:
All it takes is an enforcement of the laws on the books.
If this had been done 20 years ago, after the last amnesty, we would have no illegal alien problem now.
Why is anyone talking about granting ANY SORT of amnesty to illegal aliens again without FIXING the problem first???
1. Secure the borders.
2. Prosecute and jail employers hiring illegal aliens.
3. Do not grant any sort of monetary assistance to any illegal aliens or their families
4. Do not rent or sell houses to illegal aliens.
If these laws are not enforced, the problem will never be solved.
PERIOD.
We would be looking at granting another amnesty 10 or 20 years from now, and the numbers will be 2 or 3 times greater.
The last amnesty was 3 million.
This one is at least 12 million, probably more like 15 to 20 million.
ANYONE WANT TO TAKE A GUESS ON HOW MANY IT WILL BE NEXT TIME??
It might be possible. But many believe it is unethical.
It probably will be pretty difficult to get a good taco..
Well put... I am giving you the gift of a star!
Who the hell is going to pick all these Gosh Darn carrots and potatoes? You!?
Bush is an idiot. All we have to do is take away the reason illegal aliens come here.
All we have to do is take away their illegal jobs, ban them from our hospitals, change the anchor baby law, and go to war against gangs. If we do this, they will no longer want to live in the USA.
Sure they could deport them. Load them up by the bus load and haul their illegal asses back to mexico. It would be cheaper in the long run than giving them free medical, free food, free housing, free education and our social security.
yes it's possible. did we not have a mass deportation once? and gee we survived that one.
Yeah I know it is, but the government would rather us pay for them to be in prison and have all the rights us law abiding citizens have.
I don't think it is possible. And if by chance it is, it would be very expensive.
I think, if you think illegal immigration is bad for the country, a "self deport" would be easier and less expensive. Maybe enforce the law on businesses that hire illegal aliens?
No job=no invitation
If no one will hire illegal aliens the problem will take care of itself, If we had tougher laws on employers AND ENFORCE THEM the immigration problem will begin to settle itself. They will travel to friendlier areas, maybe Canada.
It can be done without costing the government anything by calling on volunteers to round them up and toss them over the border. I bet 30,000,000 Americans would actively participate in such a campaign.
We really should not be looking at it as millions...just one,two or twenty at a time.if every undocumented alien who runs a red light or applies for food stamps without proof of citizenship, were deported, the number would drop quite rapidly...but alas, the libs and the ACLU would rather make a name for themselves by defending these pariahs than doing what was right for legal American citizens.
Learn a lesson from history.
Do what the Eisenhower administration did.
They created the era of lowest illegal immigration in the history of the U.S. It lasted until their policy was changed by the Johnson Administration.
Eisenhower had his administration prosecute the worst offenders among those HIRING the illegals.
They fined them and put a few in jail.
Soon the jobs dried up.
Cost of living in the U.S. is higher than in Mexico, so the illegals found their OWN way back!
No cost to the tax payer.
Isn't history great?
Guess what group of law violators are not to be prosecuted by the new bill currently passing through Congress?
Not only is it possible but very necessary.
Yes, easily.
Sure it is. Confiscate all illegally gotten game to help pay for deportations.
It would be a huge strain on an already strained economy. Mass deportation will not have any lasting effect as long as our boarders remain unsecured. A deportation on the scale you are talking would be one inch away from impossible.
On a brighter note, several others have hit the nail on the head by saying that if we take away the reason they came here in the first place they will go home on their own. Make it very uncomfortable for employers to hire them by enforcing existing laws and imposing maximum fines, deny access to public education, housing assistance, ER health care, and deny any and all public assistance funds, and suddenly this doesn't look like such a good risk to take(and lets face facts there is almost no risk to these people now). I also think that a new law stating that if you are found here illegally all of your property can be confiscated as ill gotten gains (not unlike property taken from drug dealers). So now not only can't you milk the system but it can milk you. Anyone agree?
Of course it is. The easiest way is to simply enforce the law by going after people who employ the invaders. Take away the jobs, and most of them will self deport.
The remainder can then be easily rounded up and sent home.
JMB
yes one at a time
There is no way that we could ever deport the illegals. It would cost a ton of money and we the tax payers would probably end up paying for it. No matter how many immigrants we manage to deport more of them will come in and many will never be caught.
And who's gonna pay the bill?
The US Government doesn't have the capacity to accomplish this without disturbing the economy, or the budget, or our taxes.
and who's going to pick up your veggies
