That's like asking if cancer is a part of the human body, just because it feeds on us doesn't mean it's natural or belongs there. It's a blight to society.

Gangs have been in American culture since we came here in some way shape or form.We had British gangs and American gangs can't recall their names at the moment.But they were before the Revolutionary War.Then we had the Freedom Fighters which ended up becoming the Civil War.Capone and the list goes on all the way up to today with the KKK,Skinheads etc.I don't know how people can pick out one group and talk about their gangs like they are something unheard of in America.Because they're not culture defined.
