I've lived in places like the Philippines and Panama where nobody obeys the law and you can buy the cops off for a few dollars. If you travel throughout the 3rd world you'll find people consider the law more of an annoyance than anything else.

You refered most to Mexicans in your question so I am going to assume you are refering to the illegals, not the legal immigrants. I don't know where they get the idea that somehow they are the backbone of this country. They act like the only people since Adam and Eve to ever pick fruit and plant a tree was them. Sorry......not so. How can your greatest asset not have an education, not speak English, work for nothing and claim everything, not obey laws and continue to breed more poverty and corruption and violence? They say your only as strong as your weakest link and this group is about as weak as you can get. They have no allegience to anything let alone this country or it's people. Now this doesn't mean all Mexicans but it certainly is in a great enough amount to be a serious concern. There's alot of bad apples in the bunch.

To be honest we are all immigrants (from the beginning the Native Americans were they only ones that were here in the first place). The people now born here don't quite understand what it's like to live somewhere else, they're use to freedom and human rights and for the most part are closed minded to immigrants, to the point of hostile. We have the riches of the world but are so closed minded that we don't want to share it with the rest of the world. We see immigrants as robbing us from what we started but we have no understanding of what they do bring.
These are the people who are grateful for the opportunity to live in this great country when so many of us take it for-granted.These people are the ones who will work the jobs that the no one born here will and hence they keep the economy flowing (stronger I might add). They bring knowledge and ideas that are different and worthy to take a look at and work hard to get the riches they deserve.

I see what you are saying. They think they are an asset. Its almost like this. You could have the expensive Paul Mitchell shampoo and pay $50 dollars for a bottle. But why do that when Walmart has the Suave kind with most of the same ingredients, but not as good for $3.00. Its economical for the corporations. Its not as good as American labor, but it will do.
