So many times I have heard on here that since the illegals are only affecting the "lower class" people they didn't care.
Well guess what.now they are wanting to import cheaper white collar workers.
Do you still feel that same way?
I think that it's freaking funny.I have been fighting this immigration bill since it's inception.all the while being called a racist.NOW it's coming down on the white collar workers.
I am very well secured in my job. I am in a field that will not be effected at all.

Im crushed to think of an fellow American not able to get a job over a illegal. People who dont belong here are getting tossed asside for these invaders! IT NOT RIGHT! Not in the least!
My ex has a masters in Math..and was turned down from all jobs! Ranging from banker assistant, to burger flipper! He is a smart man...but if you go tothe places he applied...there are non-americans there. How do I know? You go ask for a deposit slip, or for a #2 combo...I promise you, broken English and alot of jibberish.
He ended up dropping all of his classes and just leaving me with a note that says "I cannot be hear anymore, Im sorry, will be back in August/September." .he wont pick up his phone. It crushed him very much though..how he worked so hard through his life...8 years dedicated to advancing his education...and he cannot land a job at a burger joint. Must sting to a man's ego. I feel compassion for every American who cannot get a job, because I am weaping with them.
Im not secure in my finaces, and must locate a job (any damn job will do) HELL! Will work at the Korn Kits Factory! (not hiring of course)! How can people say illegals do the jobs Americans wont do...I know 10 people willing to do anything for a job right now, and can probbly find 200 more in this area, who all want to pay for collage and rent without digging a deep whole of debt!
The federal goverment was NOT ABLE TO PAY FOR ALL OF MY COLLAGE THIS YEAR! And Im in a deep whole of ****...1,112 dollors has to be payed to my school, or no degree for me. 80$ a month for 14 months. Can cover the books, but not the tuition! GURRR! Illeagls! THEY RUIN LIVES!
There have always been white collar immigrants. I work at one of the best Universities in the nation and many of our best students are from abroad. One of the effects of globalization is the global competition for talent.

I was never for it in the first place. nor am I for the legal ripping off of white collar jobs... or, if the Amnesty Bill passes, blue collar as well
if there is a open job people do apply for it, in all fields not just one and if the work places can get cheaper help they will do just that, which should start bringing the prices down instead of always climbing.

I don't believe in a blanket amnesty and guess worker program. But a one time amnesty to register illegals so they can be sent home is a good idea. Any one who does not register should be considered an enemy of the state. This should also include those who have over stayed their visa. We need a constitutional amendment to keep children of illegals from receiving automatic citizenship.
Finally the most important is to make it a felony to hire illegals. Those who do can well afford the fines. We should require American citizen to receive benefits which our taxes pay for. Why coddle these people they are criminals?

I've always felt that stabbing your fellow citizen in the back, regardless of their station in life was bad for the country and eventually came back to me in a number of ways...unemployment taxes, resentment toward those still working, and retraining into other fields, perhaps mine
H-1b hurt me, but my concience was always clear on this issue - remember Ross Perot got 20%, a staggering percent for a new political party, considering he dropped out of the race temporarely, and had a vice presidential candidate (Stockdale) who was obviously part senile.
A lot of that 20% were my fellow tech workers..
And yes, I've always been against Amnesty, called Congess many times

Why are people responding to the immigration issue as if it's something new? We have been inundated with illegal immigrants for decades and the US is still doing fine! All of a sudden the president starts making waves to try to improve his acceptance rating and it's a big deal! By the year 2059 it is predicted that there will be no "majority" culture in the United States, not because of illegal immigration, but because of intermarriages and immigration in general.
Why not take this opportunity as a learning experience of how to get along with others that have different values than your own and accept that NOTHING will have an impact on illegal immigration. As long as one immigrant makes it across the border everyday, people will keep trying. The more secure the borders, the more risky and dangerous their attempts will be, but they will still cross.
