As I understand it, the answer is no. ILR could be granted after ten years lawful residence. A more likely option for you would be to apply for an HSMP visa as a Highly Skilled Migrant. This would allow for settlement in due course. You might look for advice to your student welfare department. Check these government websites:

Why on earth would you think that? Which part of student visa do you not understand? When you have done your learning then it is time TO GO HOME - wherever that may be. No more immigrants - this country is officially full.
You would only be eligible to apply for ILR/ Permanent Residency after being on a Student visa for 10 years.
