It currently takes about 10 weeks.
There is supposed to be a huge backlog right now, NBC News just did a story on it. The delays are supposed to be serious, and citizens are advised not to wait till the last minute to apply for a passport.
If you pay the extra fee to expedite it you can get it in as little as two weeks. That's what I did.
usually about 6 weeks but it is now taking 12 weeks since a passport is required everywhere
You can pay additional for expedited service and if you really want to pay a lot of money, it can be gotten in the same day.
it takes 3 and 1/2 months and the reason why it takes so long is because alot of people are get passport too to mexico and canada.. with all the new rules and stuff so yea

I don't know how long it takes to get a passbort. I do know that getting a passport takes up to 10 weeks.
anything from a month to three months depending upon how soon the police enquiry is over. this answer is applicable only if u in india and applied for an Indian Passport
