Hazelton PA?
For those that may not remember, a few months back a city in PA became sick and tired of illegal aliens in their town so they took matters into their own hands and started enforcing it's own city laws to crack down in illegal immigration. From what I heard, ever since the ordnance passed, more than half of the city's Hispanic population has left.
Well, the ACLU and other such groups filed a lawsuit against the city and it's mayor for dealing with the problem. The case went to court but I have not heard anything about it since. Does anybody else know?

There has been no ruling yet. The American Communist Lawyers Assoc and other pro illegal alien groups are targeting communities that try to do something about the illegal alien invasion. I used to have respect for the ACLU, but there insistence on representing law-breakers who are in our country illegally is just galling.
I am hoping that the town will win, but this may just go to the Supreme Court. We need to elect a conservative president who will elect strict constructionist judges to the Supreme Court. I don't know about you, but I am tired of judges usurping the power of the legislature who are our elected representatives. No more activist judges. Vote Republican in the 2008 presidential election.
I am an independent, but a Dem president will do much more damage to our country than a Republican.
The "gods in robes" will undoubtedly cowtow to the ACLU and rule against the common sense of the Hazelton council.
There was a trial but the judge hasn't handed down his ruling. I wonder if he was hoping legalization might lower the stakes.
We'll see.
